Comment:
My favorite Spanish professor by far. Leads really good discussions, is insightful, and really cares about the class. His classes (34, 35) were definitely some of the best experiences I've had at Tufts. Most of the class was reading and discussing, one or two small tests and a handful of (short) papers.

I took US Mexico Borderlands with him. The material gets dry and boring after a while. He will make you do presentations and self evaluate your work in class every few weeks. The movies are sometimes interesting, but he lacks the ability to talk about anything besides the border and Texas. Also a tough grader.

completely agree...this guy is horrendous. I don't know how anyone can say he is "enthusiastic", i'm assuming this person must have him confused with someone else.

He is worthless. Did not lecture once. Class consists of him asking the students their feelings about the readings, and then standing there looking confused with really nothing much to say. Tufts should save itself some money and fire him. For the love of God.

Great enthusiasm! Some of the course material was a little dry. He was always willing to help students.
