Lanier was a great teacher! Yeah u have to go to class and learn the material but the tests are based right off the notes. the class is not hard at all. normal college level. if you do your work your guaranteed an A.

Good professor! Despite what other ratings say, as long as you pay attention in class and take notes, you should be fine. Gives a review before each test. I didn't study terribly long and got an 'A' in the class. I recommend him!

Cool guy, but horrible class!!! All these theories and names that you have to know. Tests suck, but he goes over the tests though and if any question was too hard or vague, he adds that point to everyone.

I don't know why people find Lanier's test to be unfair or unclear. They are pretty standard to me and nothing difficult if you simply study the few pages of notes for each test. Also recommend skimming the book before each test. I thought Lanier was a great lecturer and I am taking him again in the spring.

I took Mr. Lanier for crime in america andit was an awful experience. Even with a review tests were still unclear. He isn't a very good teacher but he's alright person. I would NEVER take him again...

OMG, It is hard to understand him when he talks. Powerpoints are helpful but his tests, he DOES provide a study guide but you HAVE to read the book (harvard reading) lol .. in order to get a good grade on the tests. did offer some extra credit. very nice to look at but I will NEVER take him again.

Took Dr. Lanier twice for 3014 and 4701. 3014 was much harder and I didnt like his mult choice tests however I did learn a lot. 4701 was great, he had great lectures and great tests. Tests were mostly short essays but everything came right from the notes and you could get extra points. 4701 was one of the bests classes I have taken.

Prof. Lanier is awesome. Attendance is not mandatory but it is factored into your participation grade and it's the only class I didn't mind showing up for. His lectures are interesting and he's always available to help. Make sure you get the review before the tests. He curves them all. Overall great Prof. and class!

Dr. Lanier if your reading this...your the hottest man at UCF! forget those frat guys! anyway...class was intersting, funny stories, make sure you read the book (he wrote it) test are "decent". Awesome professor...really interested in our feedback about certain topics...take the notes and read the book very carefully...the book was very important to the tests...wasn't hard to read but I had trouble retaining some of it...but that's just me...really nice teacher but it takes a little bit of work so pay attention in class and show up!!!!!!
