The greatest professor I have ever had. Master of the Socratic method. Energy level is through the roof. Definitely drink your coffee before this course and come prepared to think on your feet. If pre-law, you'll want to experience a course with Father Massa because it will rival any that you will take in law school. Don't miss this experience.

Anyone who says that Mark Massa doesn't know Catholic doctrine is either a conservative ideologue or simply a moron. Massa is one of the best known scholars on American Catholic history and on anti catholicism. He is a brillant man and every student should benefit from that knowledge. Remembers everyone's name.

First off, let me just say I took his class kicking and screaming to fulfill a requirement, and I left his class wishing it wasn't my last semester at Fordham. this man is an absolute genius! I LOVED his class (very surprising for me, being non-religious, and prior to the class,very uninterested in religion--Christianity in particular). TAKE HIM!!!

Hands down, the best professor I have ever had. Daily Theses are thought-filled and help elucidate the overall course. Massa is one of the handful of people in my life that make me wonder how my life would be different if I hadn't had the benefit of knowing/learning from him. Possibly RH's best!
