Only 10 assignments throughout the entire semester, make sure you read the quizzes will be on what you have read. If you do not take a quiz you will fail, and if you fail a quiz it will drop your score tremendously.

I'm not one for history, but this guy is a great professor. Definitely put things into perspective. Hilarious, makes connections with students. Said the class would be mostly discussion as opposed to lecture, but was mostly lecture. Highlight: entire class built and destroyed our own utopian country

Great professor. You can tell he really cares about his students and is always prepared for class. Beware, there are several pop-quizzes and attendance is important. The pop quizzes are easy multiple choice, but you have to do your reading. If you participate and read you'll get an A. 200 level course.

Mr. Moser rocks! Literally all you have to do is show up for class, sign in, and read the book he assigns for the quizzes. All the exams we had were written but for the mid term he went over what we should study the class before the test and the for the final he gives you the prompt before hand and lets you bring a page of notes to help on the test

He does not put in grades in Canvas, at all. He is a boring person to listen to and talks from the very beginning of class until the very end of class. Try to choose any other Freshman seminar class than this. Also, if you have to take this class, the movies are TERRIBLE. Make sure you love the Cold War before taking this class!

Great class and great teacher. You will have to read but honestly the online class isn't test or quiz heavy. You will have to do assessments but they are really helpful, you will learn quite a bit about yourself and how you fit in an organization.

He is really passionate and I love him as a person but his class sucks sometimes. Theres an ungodly amount of reading and legitimate pop quizzes, like he will fake you out and make you think there isnt one and then Surprise. He can be intimidating at the beginning, but give him a chance. The documentaries he shows will save you.

AMAZING. He is an expert in his field, and listening to him speak is quite delightful. Be ready to read, however, as his quizzes are mostly based on reading. He is a hilarious person and he constantly tells personal stories in lectures. Take his class and you will not regret it.

He is honestly one of the greatest professors that I can ever be around. He truly cares for his student, and will be willing to stay after class to answer mandatory questions. However, you do have to read in his class. THE BOOKS ARE MANDATORY! But it's not that bad, once you gather all the information. TRUST ME!

Mark Moser is one of those lectures that somehow commands everyone's attention. He is deceptively funny and knows it. He truly cares about his students . There is ALOT of reading. He always tries to have interactive lectures and gets mad if students aren't prepared. There are pop quizzes for about every chapter, so read.

I loved Dr. Moser so much that I took four classes with him. He has a wry sense of humor and is a very fun lecturer. Definitely take Dr. Moser; not only is he a wonderful professor but an even more wonderful human being. Get to know him if you have the opportunity. When you go to his office he might show you cat pictures - I loved him.

So he explained at the beginning of the semester what was expected of the students,he is very social and makes class fun! Also why he might not respond to emails is because someone has a very similar email as his! Make sure you have the right one! He was a very nice guy and I would take the class again.

He's a pretty easy teacher. He's funny and can occasionally make history fun. Reading is CRUCIAL!!! because we have weekly pop quizzes. There's three exams, they're only one essay question. He gives you the Final exam question TWO weeks in advance and lets you bring an outline to the Final day. Easy A, easy teacher, doesn't grade too harshly.

You will read. A LOT. 70-90 pages from a book each week plus sections from a textbook. Readings have to be done by Monday each week bc pop quizzes can be any day. No powerpoints and he rarely uses the board. You will read 2 books over 500 pages each and a textbook. If you have other reading heavy classes good luck. Essay tests. Nice guy.

Since it is an online class, you have to be ready to read and keep up on your own. There will be reading discussion and quizzes every week on the chapters. He does a long time to get things graded however. Also, he takes a while to email back. Exams are essay format! (But there is only 2!)

Moser is a nice guy. If you go to his office hours or schedule an appointment to go to his office, he takes the time to get to know you. If you need a class that gives handouts, DO NOT take this class. You have to rely on your own note-taking and study abilities to pass. Only 3 grades total so you have to do well on everything. Overall laid back.

Professor Moser was a good experience. Not too difficult the quiz's could have some tricky questions. Point being read all the material (especially the textbook) and his tests were essay format from which he gave 3 questions. To get a good grade just display knowledge of the subject matter.

I love history & the books were interesting. Class was online. Nothing extra was taught or reinforced (why do we pay the same as regular classes?). Emails often went unanswered. I received an A+ for the class, but I can see where this class would be difficult for students who were given no chance to improve with no feedback whatsoever on anything.
