HIS HOMEWORK WAS IMPOSSIBLE. Unless you got lucky and found it online or went to every OH possible, you could spend days on it. I got lucky on the midterm but the final wrecked me (grade is 1 midterm, the homework, and the final)... and he did a curve based on if you did better on the final than your midterm. Hes a funny guy though!

probably the best professor i've had. Super funny, slips in terrible (yet funny) dad jokes randomly during lectures. Lectures are well organized goes over EVERYTHING clearly. the Homework's are extremely difficult but he is happy to help you with them. Take the class!!

Rashid himself is a pretty solid prof. His lectures are clear for the most part, and he points out key concepts for the weekly quizzes, but his tests threw me a real goddamn curveball. His practice tests are NOT a good represntation for what's on the real exam. The homeworks are extremely long and difficult, but the answers are posted online.

Prof. Rashid is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. Homework is HARD, but he is EXTREMELY helpful in office hours. Amazing lectures, amazing professor, awesome office hours. If you have the chance, TAKE HIM!

Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. Rashid taught at a very digestible pace and was crystal clear in his derivations and lectures. He was extremely engaging in lecture and willing to answer any questions at any time. Super helpful in OH and will do whatever it takes to help you understand. Tests were HARD, but fair. Awesome class!

Best professor I've had so far in terms of clarity, but the class is hard so I recommend going to as many office hours as you can. Online hw due every week is very difficult and very different from what he asks on tests. This class took up most of my time this quarter. Tests are moderately difficult but fair. Learned a lot from this guy.

Great orator, terrible teacher. A lot of long derivations in class that end up being confusing and not very helpful with homework. Midterm and final were killer. The amount of time needed outside of this class just could not be spared.

Rashid Is a really amazing professor. Easily the most clear I've ever had at Davis. He is always available to answer questions/OH. That being said, his 104 class is NOT easy. There is weekly homework, 1 midterm and final. I spent 10-13 hours a week doing homework and studying for this class. Overall his grading and exams are fair though.

Online HW, Exams, and what he teaches in class LITERALLY have nothing in common. (wording, level of difficulty, and length) BEWARE of his exam, hardest exams I've taken in my 4 years here. (switched major late) If he was writing the textbook, he is one of those guys that write the last 5 questions at the end of each chapter that no one attempts.

Comment:

This professor is so funny and he works really hard to teach the material. But regardless of the professor, the material is HARD. You have to go to OH. Use of MasteringEngineering was really annoying, and he doesn't follow too closely to the book. He makes up his own examples in class and tough test questions. Gives practice tests (MUST DO!)

Professor Rashid was one of the best teacher's I've had. He taught very clearly, and if you went to his office hours he was always willing to help you. His tests were difficult, but he took input from his TA's on the difficulty. I think he usually teaches graduate classes, but his undergraduate classes are fair. I would definitely take him again

His first time teaching 35 but he did a good job. I felt his lectures became more clear as the class went on. Straightforward, wants you to do well, stresses important exam strategies. Weekly quizzes are often killer, esp with only 10 min! Homework is graded, sometimes tedious & a tad long, good practice! Final was fair but a little tough

Professor Rashid is awesome! He explains complex concepts in ways that are easily understandable and is extremely fair in terms of his assignments and grading. For ENG35 there was just one Midterm, and there were fairly basic quizzes that he gave every week. I would highly recommend taking him!

He is a very good professor. He teaches very clearly and systematically, and he tells good stories about stunt flying. This class was way more interesting than I was expecting after ENG 35 and 45. However, beware of his tests: don't let his personality fool you, he makes them pretty difficult.

Great Professor, great with questions, and really taught the class as if we had NO IDEA what E104 entailed. However, his final was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT but it showed in the curve created, so it should not be a reason not to take his class, just be aware. WORTH TAKING AT ALL COSTS for a crystal clear understanding of material
