Mark Reed is an excellent lecturer. He's interesting, and clever, as well as funny. He did a lot of drawing on the board, but uploaded the same diagrams to Blackboard for the slower note takers. His tests aren't easy, but if you study and go over your notes, you'll do fine. His 50 minute long lectures go by in a flash.

If you are a geology or science major, Mark is the one for you. He is a wealth of information and very knowledgeable in his field. Only problem was his lecture sessions were too short. 50 minutes just was not enough to listen to him and various subjects. The man is fascinating to listen to!

Very interesting professor. He seems to be very well informed and had lots of practical experience in his field. No textbook just his packet and lectures, tests weren't too hard if you payed attention in class and have taken other geo classes.

Comment:
Reed is a good teacher and well informed, but his lectures don't translate well into test material. You really need to take good notes, and fully understand the topic, because his tests will cover the topics from class, but not necessarily the exact infomation. HW is easy.
