Positives: He's kind and understanding. I loved the books that he assigned. You'll get an A if you pay attention. He teaches on important topics. Negatives: Too gentle and passive. I wish he taught with more passion and wasn't afraid to step on toes. The classroom environment is dull, most aren't paying attention during lectures.

You read 3 books in the sem and they're kind of interesting. You need to read or else you're hopeless on the quizzes. EVERYTHING from lecture is on the exams (this motivates you to come to class.) Really wonderful man, but can get boring. A few essays but they are completely outlined in syllabus. Fun stories and is helpful :)

Extremely nice guy, but extremely boring. The teaching is all opinion based and barely allows any room for discussion. Every class is he talks, you write. Then midterms come and it's expected you remember is personal stories.

Easy class. Not really helpful in responding to emails or keeping students updated with their grades. Quizes are easy but you have to read. Tests are in great detail so write down everything. Nice guy though

He learns your names by flashcarding your pics, but you can miss class if you have a good reason. He usually won't ask, so just don't show up if you don't want to. There's too many students anyway. Boring, but sometimes interesting lectures. Easy quizzes - answers usually "all of the above". He gives study guides. If you want an easy A, take him.

Lectures are boring, and the guy has a story tangent for any topic. Dreaded sitting through his class. The guy also makes alot of offensive remarks about Catholics. So if you are Catholic (like me) he can be very challenging not to wanna punch. The only books you really need to buy is the MLK one, and the one he wrote.

This class was ridiculously boring and I dreaded going to it everyday. A lot of the stuff he lectures on is irrelevant and he goes off on tangents all the time. Its not the easiest class but if you want a relatively easy A and don't care about boring lectures, then go for it.

Coming from a K-12 Christian school background, Mark Sanford is easily the best Biblical teacher I have ever had. He knows the Word inside and out. His insight is incredible. He does not put anyone down. He listens to everyone and gives everyone a chance to talk. He is not focused on homework, but rather your growth with Christ. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!

Sanford is an extremely nice man. You can learn alot from his Godly character and actions alone. He's strict when it comes to absenses and putting effort into the class, but he has to be so students don't take advantage of him. Days in class were hit and miss, but he really is the best CLFM teacher at the school overall.

sanford is a really great guy with a good heart. he wants you to learn and grow in your faith. but this class is pretty boring... you have to take a lot of notes and the material doesn't really challenge you at all. i heard of a lot of other classes that students got more out of. but overall, this class is pretty good & is easy. sanford's cool.

If you're planning to take CMIN 108, Prof Sanford is BY FAR the best to take it with... He can sometimes get a little off topic- but it's never boring. But try to get a seat near the front because he can sometimes be tough to hear if you're in the back. His tests and quizzes are very few and even then, they aren't at all impossible to do well on.
