To take his stats class you are going to have to have the skills and determination to teach yourself a lot of the work. He shows examples in class, but for me to understand what he was trying to say I had to take quite a bit of time out of class to teach myself the material. He was never on time once for our class also.

I had Professor Stevenson for both Calc 2 and Linear Algebra. He's a great guy but clearly a lazy professor. I can't recall a single day in either class when he came in on time and his office hours aren't very helpful. He does curve out each test if needed, which is usually often. Says there will be pop quizzes often but ends up giving one or two.

I took College Algebra with him and he is a great teacher overall. It was really hard at first, transitioning out of high school to college, but he is an extremely understanding person. Talk to him if you have any questions. Also, make sure you take good notes and know how to teach yourself. On tests, make sure you show EVERY step

I took college Algebra with Mr. Stevenson. It was an accelerated class but I liked the lectures a lot. He gives very good examples in class. I highly recommend him.

Not a bad math teacher, and I've had some doozies. You do have to put in the work and actually study. He is late to class almost every day, but he grades incredibly easy (one test had 130 points and he took it out of 115, how much more can you ask for).

OCC, are you ever going to acknowledge & address the glaring issue with this Professor? I made a formal complaint about his consistent tardiness & lack of providing help which goes hand in hand with his negative attitude, but the staff were already aware. Lucky for him he has tenure so I guess thats a free pass to act & arrive as he pleases.

Prof. Stevenson knows math and presents it clearly, usually. He is generally late to class and occasionally the online HW will not be posted in a timely manner. HW 100 pts of grade, 4 tests 100 pts each and cumulative final 150 pts. extra credit built into the course, utilize the math lab and do the hw it does make a difference.

Laziest prof ive ever had. He was literally 30 mins late to my final. Linear algebra is a hard course and he grades very harshly. Tests are difficult. To his credit he knows his stuff and his lectures were solid. He says there will be pop quizzes, but hes usually too lazy so maybe 2 or 3. Sadly he is the only person to teach this at AH. Work hard.

Calc 2 is by itself a difficult class, but I feel like Stevenson did a wonderful job of explaining the material. He will occasionally make mistakes for the sole purpose to see if anyone in the room is paying attention to the lecture. He is generally late to class. Calc 2 is a very demanding course, so homework is a must.

You're a non-math person just looking for credits? DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. You will fail. In my semester he was late every class, always behind. He was late to return tests/assignments. We tested on things he never taught. Test reviews never matched the test and he was completely unhelpful outside of class. He doesn't care, he does the bare minimum.

Grades very hard and only had a few homework assignments. Had a midterm, final, and about 4 pop quizzes. He was late to class every single day and if you asked him for help he wouldn't really answer the question. He goes fast through lecture and never once asked if people understood what was being taught. Never posts grades either.

He's normally around 20 minutes late to class, claims to have a lot of online homework but we had 4, tests are a lot harder than the both the lecture examples and the book examples. He's not very good at explaining solutions.

I took his Trigonometry course. I went to tutoring that was offered on campus and asked after class for his assistance. His answers were short and said back in a way that had a negative tone. As in, I shouldn't be asking this question or I'm stupid. His help wasn't useful nor his teaching approach.

Professor Stevenson, will give you 4 Exams and very little online homework. I think in total we were given 2-3 take home assignments that were not returned until the end of the semester. We didn't know what our grade was on the exam #4 until the day of the final. He is contradiction, hypocritical and hates when you give a wrong answer to a question
