I took her for Russian one and two. Although she isn't a native Russian, that makes it all the better because she understands the difficulties associated with learning a slavic language. She thoroughly prepares you for her five tests and final exam. Just be sure to do the exercises in the workbook, textbook and the worksheets she hands out. Cpacubo!

What a waste of time and money. If I wanted to sing songs for an entire semester I would have registered at a Karaoke Bar. She doesn't have a degree in Russian, hell, she isn't even Russian. Ask her about anything that doesn't involve her visits to Russia, i.e. anything about the language, and she completely ignores you. What a waste of time...

Marla is amazing. She breaks everything down so that it's understandable. She's so nice and she really cares about her students. This class was so interesting. If you have any desire to take Russian, definitely take Marla. She's wonderful.

Awesome teacher! Russian is a challenging subject, and goes out of her way to make things clear. Makes class fun; you'll learn lots of songs, etc. Tests are easy; if you've done your workbook you can pass the test. Great class! (She is American, but has a pretty good accent; don't let that stop you)
