I agree with the previous negative comments. Professor Bates, who insisted on being called Doctor, despite his lack of Doctorate (I found out Later), obviously did not want to help his students. Instead, his dictatorial behavior showed his lack of carin

Professor Bates, if you can call him that, is so caught up in his own self worth that he ignors the needs of his students. He is hopelessly condesending and brash. He takes pleasure in making his students feel like idiots, Speaking at us and not to us.
