Awesome professor. The exams are hard but you can just search for answers from pdf notes he gives. Except for the guest lectures, prepare to take notes on everything they said and watch it few times over.

If looking for an easy online class to fulfill a lib ed, DO NOT take this one. The class is way too much work in terms of what you would expect. I found myself watching 6 hours of videos just to get the information needed to take 1 exam out of the 4. Unless you're majoring in something animal science related, avoid this class.

This class was good. It's important that you watch the lectures and pretty much memorize the material on the note packets. If you do that, you should get an A. Even if you have a pretty good grasp, you can always refer to your note packets on the test to double check. If you do this, you should be able to get an A. Just pay attention to time/dates!

worst teacher I've had, unbelievably self righteous, get ready to hear about his vacations and how great he is for 95% of the lecture, actual material is a blirp at the end. incredibly repetitive and yet tests are hard on stuff he doesn't cover. No help whatsoever on what to study, sends out new material via emails two days before.

I just took this class for fun as an elective. Prof Stern is hilarious, I laughed out loud while watching his lectures. He's from NY and his accent is awesome. He's passionate about companion animals and I've learned so much about how to care for my own companions. Two assignments, weekly discussions and 3 clear-cut exams. Definitely recommend.

I don't like that someone so knowledgeable about pet population increases still promotes breeding like he does; but the class is easy. Very few homework assignments. Lectures are informative & easy to listen to. No textbook required. Exams aren't bad if you watched the lectures. Overall it's an easy 3 credits.

I had Marshall as an instructor for 3 courses my sophomore year. He's a great professor with a true passion for the teaching material. He clearly states what will be on the tests, so as long as you take notes and MEMORIZE them, the course is an easy A. Marshall seems to truly care for his students overall success and does what he can to ensure this

I took this course as an elective. The lectures were just fine (often with humor), no textbook is used, and he offers structured notes so there is more time to absorb the lectures rather than just copying everything down. While there are exams, most of the time you can work at your own pace. Lastly, I retained a lot of valuable info. Great class!

Marshall is a great professor, he keeps class interesting and puts up note outline for every lecture. His tests are fairly predictable and similar to the practice ones he puts online. The only issue is he occasionally will put things up on moodle close to the day you need them.

If you review his notes and pay attention in class you should be fine. His lectures are interesting and notes are easy to follow. He kept class interesting by talking about himself or playing funny videos, which I really appreciated in a morning lecture.

This class is ridiculously easy and the tests are basically just rearranged versions of the practice exams he posts. Don't expect to learn much though, as half of each lecture is spent looking at pictures of him or videos of him or talking about him. Marshall is all about Marshall. Nice guy, but very frustrating as a professor.

This class is incredibly easy, and pretty interesting as well. Sometimes he goes into excessive detail about topics, especially at the beginning of the course. I took it online, and some of the exam questions were really mundane and unimportant details about a topic, so that's something to watch for. He's a funny guy too, which is nice.

Easy class if you get all the notes from class, and look over old exams! Notes are fill in the blank style, and there is no textbook. Prof. Stern is a funny guy, and keeps lectures pretty casual. I learned a ton in this class.. Great class and professor!
