She was such a sweet woman! Math 3800 and 3801 were basically classes that you have to go in and forget everything you know and relearn it because you have to be able to show that you understand the different methods that you are being taught to use in your classroom but if you have questions and don't understand do not be afraid to ask for help!

Comment:

This class was pretty hard for me just because I'm not very good at math. Ms. Carter was a nice teacher but EXTREMELY boring and monotone. The tests were kind of hard and you have homework everyday. If you struggle with math, I would take a different teacher. If it's easy for you, you could probably get by with no problem.

Professor Carter was really nice! These, like most math classes, aren't blow offs. If you don't understand ask questions. She will help you out with whatever you might need help with. You get to use a notecard on your tests. She puts all assignments on Blackboard so pay close attention to see if you have just a worksheet, book work, or both.

She was a very good teacher. She was very helpful and would take as much time as you needed out of her day to explain something to you that you did not understand. There was homework every class period, but that made it so you didn't have to study for the tests very much.

Nicest teacher around. She cares about whether or not you understand and will go over a lesson until you do. Homework assignments are small and before you turn it in she will take questions and do problems on the board. She is very understanding with late work as well.

Helpful and cares about whether or not a student grasps the subject material. Has a monotone voice so it is easy to zone out but as long as you do all right on the homework you will be fine on the test. Really nice teacher.

She's a nice woman that wants to make sure everyone understands what she's teaching. Always asks if anyone has questions or wants to go over something. Does give homework everyday but you'll have to study less for the test because you've practiced so much. Not a very hard class if you put a little work into it

She does not help you at all. i Got a D because she lets 55% pass the class. if she does that it just shows how bad she is! i HATED the class and she does not give any homework that relates to the TEST. So if you got any other choice than her take someone else.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I can't even begin to explain my dislike for this professor. Whoever has previously said "Mrs. Carter is great, sweet, understanding, etc." must have had a different teacher. There is no way Marte Carter is any of these things. She has no business teaching. Worst teacher I have ever had.

She is completely awesome. For this class, she is always open to suggestions of new methods, allows students to introduce new methods that may help us in the future, and she is willing to admit if she makes a mistake (i.e. forgetting to remind students to pick up an assignment at the end of class). I am learning so much. Awesome teacher!!!!!!

I dislike math, but Mrs. Carter did not explain things well at all! She rushes through the material, expects you to "relearn" everything you know about math and do things "her way", and if you don't you'll flunk. I am a straight A student and got a C in this class-barely! Awful class, poor teacher!

Very good teacher who explains everything in detail and gives a lot of examples. She tells you exactly what she wants and also is happy to answer student questions and help them with anything.
