The things she taught in this class changed my life. I would highly recommend taking her class, male or female. She is very smart and her story is inspiring. Huge eye opener. Lots of class discussions/opinions

She will asks questions that if you've at least skimmed the textbook you should be able to answer. She has 5 tests, where you can either do essay questions or multiple choice, DO ESSAY! She gives extra credit, she will tell you funny stories, and she will teach you everything until end of civil war. She is a great History teacher.

As a person, she is awesome. She has this sassy feminist attitude that is hilarious. As far as teaching goes, she does go really fast with her powerpoints and its hard to write that stuff down and they stuff she is saying. Its sometimes hard to grasp what she wants in her essays since she never explains why she took points off.

Though it was often confusing to know what she expected from students, Donkor is a good professor. She is caring and clear to understand if you pay close attention. Take lots of notes and study from them. You get from her class what you put into it, do not expect an easy "A".

Dr. Donkor was a very helpful teacher. I would suggest taking her class if you work hard and pay attention otherwise no. She will help you if you show you need it and will not let you fail if you put all your effort towards the class.

Martha Donkor is a fairly radical, highly opinionated person who is completely different outside the classroom than in it, she generally wants the students to succeed and is willing to take on the personal problems of her students regardless of who their adviser is. She is Ghanaian and has a thick African accent, making her a bit hard to understand

When I went to class, I couldn't understand anything she said. Her accent is extremely heavy. I felt frustrated even going to class so I just stopped going out of frustration.

She's opinionated, but if you disagree with her, you don't feel that she'll want to fail you or anything. She's also funny. My only complaint is that often times on tests she'd take points off for things and I didn't understand why, it seemed a little arbitrary.

I have no idea how anyone could give her a bad grade on here. It's an easy class and she cares about what she teaches. If you are considering her for any women's studies course, TAKE HER. You won't regret it. She only posted articles for us to read and print at home. No textbook!

I would take her again, pay attention and read the book and you should not have a problem. She seems tough but she just except you to pay attention and read, I don't feel thats to much to ask. I would take her again for another class.

Dr. Donkor is amazing. I was unsure of what to expect from her based on the previous ratings on here, but she is nothing like that. She is such a nice, caring professor, and I always enjoyed talking with her outside of class. She does make class as enjoyable as she can. I wish I would have taken her sooner in college. Awesome professor!!

She is very strict. Not all of us are history majors. Also a very dry class... If you pass the first two tests, you're safe. I was walking on a tight rope and worked so hard just for a barely passing grade. I wouldn't recommend her.

Foreign profesor.Strong accent.Does not use the textbook at all. She basically tests on what she says in class so take notes. Skips war and battles so u have to google. I do not recomend her.

In a word Doncor is dogmatic. Tests have little to do with lecture or texts. Essay questions are incomplete compared to the answers desired and are graded arbitrarily. It's best to assume her views and opinions while using your own personal examples.
