Martha is such a wealth of knowledge. She expects you to do your best, but she's realistic when things happen. Her grading criteria is clear: do your work, and you'll probably be set with an A or B. She is so passionate about Medieval Romance (class I took her for), and she does her best to get her students interested, too!

Comment:

Adorable, extremely bubbly, and genuinely passionate about delivering an interesting lecture. Little twitter assignments/film responses/timeline entries can be a little overwhelming, but is totally manageable cause she reminds you of deadlines frequently. I had her for Texts and Ideas: The Idea of Home. Totally recommended

Good teacher, although gives the TA a hard time about giving A's on papers. Our TA was forced to lower everyones grade on their paper because Rust told her there were no A papers. But the class itself is not bad.

Professor Rust is the cutest lady I have ever met! She is sweet and likes to giggle in class at some of her comments. She is adorable. Her class was interesting and her powerpoints were very helpful. Everyone did good on their Midterms, and the reading content was alot, but if you read them you did well in recitation.

Had her for Conwest: Antiq and Middle Ages. Nice lady. Can be quite boring though. Lots of reading and papers were a little annoying. TA's grade everything and are a little too harsh. Overall class was mediocre.

Had her for conwest middle ages, nice prof and easily approachable, makes powerpoints and uploads them onto blackboard so not much need to go to class. Basically hands you the final and midterm in advance. Section leader controls your grade though so watch out. Too much reading, papers were annoying, imposes field trips.

martha rust is a dream professor for a small class (i had her for brit lit, too. wasn't crazy about her until now!). she's a medievalist, so be ready for that, but she's also extremely well-versed in pop-culture, as well as in technology - never met such a web-savvy prof. she's also as cute as a button.

Her lectures are like the Rosetta Stone or the Dead Sea Scrolls- minus everything about them. Her presentation is with Powerpoint, but there's no coherency. Half the class sleeps. Everyone also resents the endless quizzes and high school-like projects.
