I would definitely not recommend taking her class. While she is a very nice lady, her lectures are very boring. Every lecture, the entire class would all sit there on their phones, some dozing off sleeping. She barely writes anything on the board so what she's teaching is hard to follow. Has you write 5 papers during semester and tests are hard.

Not a lot of work, but taking good notes will help. Her tests are hard because they often focus on the smaller details of the class materials. She also gives TONS of extra credit opportunities. Other than for three of the five essays assigned, the book is not necessary.

Attendance is important and will definitely affect your grade. The key to passing this class is to, "READ YOUR SYLLABUS!". She gives a very clear outline of your semester. She is big on respect and considering how long she has been teaching, she is amazingly sweet. She loves the subject and she respects the students, she deserves the same.

I have taken professor Williams twice, both times recieving an A+. She is always available to speak with, she gives a study guide for all 3 exams, everything on the exams is exactly what she says in her lecture, she is caring and extremely knowledgeable. By far the best professor at BCC!!

Although her class was extremly boring. If you are interested in history you will enjoy it. I basically failed every test but with all of her extra credits available I got an easy A+. Extra credits include watching movies and outlining textbook chapters etc.

I enjoyed her class and am taking her again this semester o wrap up my history sequence. She doesn't have any frills, but she is a nice lady. She commands respect in her classroom, and I appreciate the fact that she doesn't allow immature behavior in the class. She will help you if you ask for it, but she will make you work for it.

If history does not interest you at all, then her lectures in class will bore you. But her extra credit she gives out makes a huge difference. Ex credit like: going to on campus activities, watching sp. movies, going to museums; then writing an essay about them. She is a very nice lady, just don't ask ?'s during class, ask afterwards, show interest

Martha means well, although i think she is getting old to teach, she tries. Pay attention to lectures! Always take notes, and study for tests cause they are hard and you will pass. She offers extra credit, i reccomend you do it.

Mrs. Williams is a very nice lady who knows her subject but she's not a good teacher for anyone who finds history uninteresting. She rambles on in long boring lectures and gets sidetracked sometimes. She doesn't really allow questions which stinks but she does give a lot of extra credit opportunities.

If you don't understand history, I recommend you NOT take her class. She is a nice woman with great intetntions I'm sure. But she is extremely mono tone, and boring. She's all over the place on the syllabus, and gives you things last minute. She gave some a study guide and not others. The only thing I liked was the extra credit she had available.

Prof. Williams is a very sweet lady who is clear with what she expects of you (a few short papers throughout semester, 2 exams, and a cumulative final) Her lectures are pretty dull and hard to follow along with but she gives you a handout with the notes and a study guide for the exams! There is also a lot of opportunity for extra credit.

She is rather passive aggressive, and does not allow you to ask questions and if she does and answers you she gives you the same information, only she says it slower. She is knowledgable, but not organized at all, she lacks communication tremendously and is ALWAYS late. I am very disappointed by this class.

She is an absolute sweetheart! As long as you show interest, regardless of your test scores, you will pass. She gives you the notes for your tests. I loved being in her class. She is so knowledgable, and wants you to learn. Would take her in a heartbeat. I actually took her a second semester because i loved her class.

One of the best teachers Ive ever had. This class was like taking a time machine back through history and seeing it first hand. Ill never forget anything I learned and I appreciate so many different things now with a greater understanding. Tons of extra credit, including a list of movies to watch. Gives out study guides and prepares you very well.

Very nice professor and is organized. Her classes consist of lecturing and note taking. She assigns a decent amount of essays, and offers great extra credit opportunities. Her exams are not easy and require a good amount of studying time. It's not too difficult to pass her class as long as you do the assignments and studying.

Mrs. Williams is a wonderful professor. I took both 111 and 112 with her and I am glad that I did! She gives wonderful extra credit opportunities. And her mandatory outside the classroom activities are an easy way to bring your grade up. She can be quiet when teaching but I'm sure that's to get the chatterboxes to shush.

Thing about this class, very strange... if you want to pass this class without all the studying, here is how. Be extremely nice to her, do so when she assigns an essay. i failed all her exams and got Cs on the essays, how did i get an A? she passed out extra credit essays in the beginning, i did about 75% of it and got an A. she also is forgetful
