I took his General Psychology course. You have a quiz every week. It is always on his lecture and the next chapter in the book. This is not a class you can just blow off and expect an A. If you put read the chapter every week and complete the study guide he gives, you will do fine. I learned a lot and hope to have another class with him.

Knowledgeable professor, but way too mono-tone. Struggled to stay awake. Main pro of this class was going over quizzes in class and he was negotiable on points/correct answers. Lots of quizzes, LOTS of definitions and memorization. Studying will help a lot

Dr. Brown is my favorite. I have had him for Social Psych and his seminar class. He is such a nice guy and really just wants to see students succeed. He has high expectations but is willing to work with you if things get tough. His lectures are hilarious and he makes a point to remember those who participates. He knows a lot and is willing to help.

Dr. Brown comes off as a scary guy but he is honestly so sweet on the inside. You do have a quiz every week, but if you honestly pay attention you will be just fine. His lecture are really interesting and he tries to make little jokes that keep the class going

Prof Brown is an interesting guy. His lectures are usually engaging and he has plenty of interesting psychology anecdotes to tell. You're only grades are weekly quizzes and the midterm/final. There are plenty of chances for easy extra credit. The class isn't hard like other have said, but it does require a lot of time dedication. Must read text!

Brown is a difficult professor. He pushes you to be the best and is helpful when you ask. He is a bit intimidating when you first meet him, but he's actually quite nice and funny.

He expects you to study for 8 hours a week. Just for his class. Every Wednesday that you meet you take a quiz. And they are not easy. He tells you to get a tutor. And when that doesnt work to drop the class. I have never hated a teacher more. He made me switch majors.! Dont take his class.

Professor Brown requires a lot of work for his seminar. He does consider this class to be your only class when taking it, but it is a capstone course so it is expected. He is not a jerk--like others say. He just wants to push you to be the very best you can. He is very approachable, knowledgeable, and a really nice guy. I definitely recommend him.

The class is very difficult but if you read the textbook and pay attention to his lectures than you will be fine. People always complaine that his quizzes are unfair but really he lets you debate alternative answers, so he is giving you a chance to improve your grade when he really doesn't have to. Don't complaine and just do the work!!!

Brown is a really smart and knows what he's talking about. For a pysch 101 course, his is pretty difficult. You have a quiz each week which requires a lot of studying, reading the textbook, and total focus in class and lots of note taking. For the quizzes if u read the chapter summaries and do the practice quizzes & u use study guide u will be OK

boooooooooooring... really dry class basically you can't win he has his test 4 right answers out of 4 but only one is the one he wants, you debate the answers and might consider the right one all in all avoid brown throughout your psychology career.

he's SO awful. you pretty much need to take notes each class and all he does is talk so it's hard to take notes. his tests always have more than one right answer so it's even harder to get the right one. don't miss like, any classes or you'll fall way behind really fast. this is an awful class with an awful teacher

For 8am, Prof. Brown wasn't bad at all. I never fell asleep in that class (as much as I wanted to) because what he teaches is fairly interesting (especially for a 101). Weekly quizzes are annoying, but considering you don't have to write any papers for this class, just read the chapters and pay attention to the lectures, and you'll do fine.

knows his stuff, but is very dry. seating charts are annoying, as is the weekly "quiz". study and pay attention in class and you'll be fine. he does let you discuss answers and throws one away if your reasons are valid.

Professor Martin Brown is very intelligent and is one of the best professor's I have ever had at Keene State College. He is very helpful, which is why I made him my advisor, and really cares about his students. As long as you pay attention to his lectures, read the chapters and study you will do fine in his class.
