You must be prepared to work very hard in this class especially if you are a chemistry major since it is all bio based. Go to his office hrs and he is very helpful at explaining the material but sometimes in class he is very scattered when trying to explain complex schemes.

Dr. Kociolek is an excellent lab instructor. The chemlab final is difficult, so it is very important to understand all of the laboratory methods used in order to do well.

NIGHTMARE CLASS!!!!!He was great for Chem 38 but was totally unreasonable for Biochem. Do not take his Biochem class unless your life depends on it or are prepared to cry after each test.
