DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY!!!! Now teaching @ CUC. There is only 2 exams and a paper that counts as your grade. What he lectures during class is NOT what is on the exam. His mid-term and final are only 15 questions long but in class he covers 8-10ch for each exam. Hard to talk too and often wrong during class and will not be corrected.

This was a very difficult class. You MUST attend to do well. His tests are very hard and he will throw in random stuff you didn't think you needed to know. If you think you can handle a difficult class I highly recommend him, he is extremely intelligent, and funny! Enjoy!

We would be so lucky if all of our professors were like Dr. Miller. To actually learn from someone that loves their subject is a very rare thing. I am glad he brought different context into the classroom. How else do you learn if you never listen to one another's views?! Controversy rocks!!! Hmmmm...here's a thought, maybe teachers bring up certain topics to get us involved with the learning process.

Dr. Miller is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to ancient greece, rome, and bactria. If you have a question, chances are he'll have the answer, and can give you page numbers of primary sources without looking them up.

Im not sure if he is still at Metro, but he was an amazing teacher that actually knew and loved his subject material.You could ask him anything and he would be able to answer you with an intellegent and understandable answer. It is a tragedy that he was treated the way he was. I took all the courses that I could take from him while at Metro.

This man knows his stuff!! He is the best professor I have ever had! To let him leave is a tragedy! I was planning on taking as many classes as possible from him! If he leaves I think I will transfer to CU! His passion and knowledge are amazing! And he could be teaching at Harvard, but choses to teach at Metro! Keep him!!!

Great professor! Take his class! Demand he stay at Metro! He is the only one in the department who has taught graduate-level courses. He is very knowledgeable. Politiks-Shmolitiks. I am a conservative christian, but I respect his teaching. He does NOT penalize for expressing opposing view poitns.

I have had Miller for many history class. In fact he is the one who conviced me to switch from Journalism to History for my major. He is liberal, I am a conservative and yet we have mutual respect for one another. Yes, he speaks on politics and religion: but that is the foundation of History.

His political and religious beliefs are brought into the lecture a little too often. He is very knowledgable about the subject and enthusiastic about teaching it. I hate the format of his testing and I think he graded a little too hard. I would take a class from him again because of his knowledge.

I had Dr. Miller for a couple history classes and I just loved his classes. Yeah he does let his politics into to class, but this is college not high school. If you bothered by it just tune those comments out. He has a lot of knowledge about his subjects.
