Took Gen Biology 2 with Ramirez. Lectures are very boring and she writes out all the notes. Her multiple-choice test style is also very different: you cross out the wrong answers, never mark the correct answer. It's her way of giving partial credit but you have to be strategic on how you answer those questions.

She is by far the worst teacher that I have ever had. If you write down everything that she says and study every single word you will do fine, but if you have any questions at all then find another bio professor to ask. Several times I scheduled an appointment with her and when I go she is in her office but wont answer the door and ignores you.

Dr. Ramirez's class is easy and gives you a very basic understanding of the material. However, her hand writting is horrible and it is hard to understand what she is talking about at first glance. You must go over the notes alot to understand what is going on in the course.

I took Principles of Evolution, Island Bio, & Invertebrate Zoology+lab w/ Ramirez & she is one of my favorite teachers. Lectures are boring since she just writes on the board BUT there's no textbook, midterms are based STRAIGHT off the notes, & gives Extra credit! Dr. Martinez is an exceptional teacher! Teaches you everything you need to know in class, gives you memorable examples to help you remember difficult concepts, tests come right off the notes. She is incredibly helpful, and as long as you study, her class is easy.

Genetics with Ramirez was easy. There were two short papers and one long one for HW credit. 2 midterms & a final b/c it was in summer school. The tests were pretty easy. She is sympathetic and kind, but I wish we could have covered more topics. By far the best teacher to take Genetics with in recent years.

Dr. Ramirez is the best teacher in Seaver!!!! I have taken 4 classes of hers and have loved all of them. Her teaching style is great because she really only focuses on what you need to know for the class and exam. There are no textbooks involved, only online journal readings, which is great for saving money. Highly recommend her, she is awesome!!!

Her lectures are very straightforward and the tests are easy as long as you study. As long as you do the assignments, she'll give you full credit. Her handwriting is HORRIBLE though. Very kind and helpful as an adviser, as well!

Incredible teacher. He is really passionate about what he teaches and gets really excited while he is teaching it. . He wants everyone to do well, so if people arent he offers extra credit. All you have to do is memorize the notes from class and you will do is memorize the notes from class and eres and you will ace the tests.

While he is not a bad teacher, i would not say he's a great one either. He tends to be a little confusing, and his tests are full of trick questions and are extremely difficult for what otherwise could be an easier subject. I would take another professor if available but hes not awful to be stuck with.
