I wish he still taught honestly. I took his Business Law class in 2005. I was a little scared beforehand because so many people said he was so hard. He was tough, and challenging, but I found I was more engaged with that class than any other I've ever taken. Hilarious guy. Test are hard. I got a B. LOVED IT. He truly made you think.

I had Hill for business law 20 years ago 1993. I am a successful tax lawyer in Chicago. In reviewing my old professors, if you want to be a lawyer, take this class. If you want to be a successful lawyer and/or business leader, believe me take Hill. He is tough. But he knows how to teach.

HIll is a decent professor. However his the final was way more obnoxious than the midterm. I don't want to read questions that have characters with celebrity names. The class is hard enough without distracting me about thinking about Brangelina in a tort case.

I hope Hill teaches this class forever so that every business student has to suffer through this class. However, this class is a good gauge as to how much effort you will have to put into the rest of bus school. If you can get a C in this class with minimal effort you will probably have A's in every other class after this with very little effort.

This guy was great. Almost ten years later and I remember all of his lectures! I think the important thing to keep in mind is that Prof. Hill is an amazing wealth of knowledge (read his bio sometime) and he expects a lot form his students. Not a bad thing! Listen to his lectures and read the textbook on your own time.

The semester I took the course, he got angry and made the entire lecture take the midterm AGAIN. (I did worse the 2nd time because of the curve) His exams consisted of page-long questions with 8 answers like, "a; b; c; none of the above; a,b, and maybe c; a, never b, and c only sometimes; a and c sometimes and always b." Not joking.

A jerk. Loves seeing his students fail. My counselor said 70% fail his class. The TA's are witches. Your text book his own book of newspaper articles. I'm now a senior and had to retake my law course because his didn't prepare me at all. His tests ask things like what is a noose? You don't learn anything, and he fails everyone. An NIU disgrace.

AMAZING CLASS!!! It's just too bad that he's gone now. I feel sooo lucky to have had him as a teacher. The class is not hard--no homework, no assignments, just tests. But, you only need a 70% to get an A! So I have no idea why everyone else is saying that it's hard. You must have NEVER showed up to say that.

Hill is a very smart man...do not be fooled; however, his teaching is not that great. Class exams were nere impossible, good thing the class had a curve. He has the funniest laugh i've heard in my life ("huuuuh") lol. Anyone who didn't take this class this semester or who is going to take it really missed out.

This class is very hard but he's a pretty good teacher. He's deffinately my favorite teacher at NIU. If you want to pull off a good grade in his class you pretty much have to be prepared to attend class and review sessions. You also have to study hardcore for the midterm and final.

hill is awesome. there are about twenty other kids on my floor who are also in this class. we all heard that he sucks and is impossible. however, we are often entertained (especially by his hilarious laugh) and only a few of us do not have A's.

You know why Hill's a bad teacher? He has no reason to care about the 200+ students in his class. If they fail, it's no skin off his back. The TA's are the ones who really teach this class, and I thought mine did an excellent job. Hill must doing a lot of research cause he certainly isn't teaching material.
