Professeressa Carolan. Wow their is alot of things to say about her but, none of them are nice. I am in an elementary Italian course and she spoke full Italian from the beginning of the year to the end of the year .If you want to ask a question good luck, you have to speak fluent Italian or she will scoff at you. I would recommend to never take her

Major con: no English in class. At all. Overwhelming for a 100 level course. When the class doesn't understand something, she just raises her voice and repeats herself in Italian. Quizzes every Thursday are not hard. Based off of the book so just read the chapter (it's legit 6 pages each). Learn to teach yourself, yes it sucks, yes you'll be fine.

Very tough, was a beginning class and never took Italian before, spoke all Italian and often had no idea what was being said. Quizzes every week with tons of online homework. Vocabulary quizzes easy the other ones hard. The amount of homework assigned was double of other kids taking Italian. Definitely not a beginners course.

dont take this dante class. it's boring and not very interesting. way too much reading squeezed into a semester.. should be a whole year class. teacher is fine besides the fact that her ideas are the only ones she wants to hear. never gives positive feedback. tests arent too hard.. just a lot of writing. must do reading to pass

Love her. She was such a good teacher and a great person. She wrote me grad school recommendations and nominated me for a scholarship when I studied abroad. Take her if you want an understanding teacher who is willing to make time for her students.

The format of the class is difficult because students learn at a different level. Some are left behind or lost in discussion as it is all in Italian. Not good for all learning styles. If you have trouble with learning language this is not a good class. It is better if you retain and learn at a rapid rate.

Very nice woman. Is helpful if you go to her outside of class. Really wants students to do well. Very sweet and animated when speaking in Italian-engaging. When speaks English and is normal- less engaging.

Hot professor, hottest one I had at school, not only that but she is really a nice,decent woman. Her husband is a lucky man! Great prof, compassionate and into her work. Enjoyed her class immensely, not just because she's sexy but a very good prof!
