You need exceptional skills in essay writing, spelling and grammar if you expect to score a decent grade in this class. Fascinating subject in which the Professor challenges you with in-depth, thought-provoking questions. No late work accepted, no hand holding. If the Professor taught a Women's Studies 2, I would not hesitate to enroll.

I felt she was a very helpful professor that answered questions in a very timely manner. The topics we were to read and discuss I found to be VERY interesting. There was a lot of reading. Graded very fair. I would take a class of her's again. And there was no group projects only discussion boards. Two papers to be written. Enjoyed the class.

The first couple of classes I thought about dropping it, but glad I did not. I learned so much and her lectures are very interesting. She talks alot and will make you read a lot of articles and watch videos. She comes off very strong, but she is a great historian and you will learn and grasp what she teaches you. I would take her again.

Horrible teacher. Never available for help, lectures on things completely irrelevant to the course. She gives study guides for the tests but the topics are never things we've gone over in class or read in the text book. Take this class with any other teacher!

Everyone was telling me how bad she was going to be, but I didn't see it at all! She is very strict in grading and can tell if you skip class. Yet I thought she was a fantastic teacher for the course. She really enjoys the subject and makes it interesting. Lectures and some videos, pop quizzes, but take notes and you'll do just fine. Good teacher!

Very interesting class, but its also very intense! Every week there is a sizable amount of reading due. If you do the reading, take good notes, and communicate with the prof through email you will pass. 1 Large paper and presentation was due, with a few smaller assignments, quizes on all readings. Expect to work hard, this is not an easy class.

Attendance isn't mandatory. She lectures the entire time. VERY nice lady. She incorporates her opinions in her teaching. She likes discussions in class. She has assessments due every few weeks; some are multiple choice while others are essay questions. No midterm or final, just a research paper on a book she'll have you read.

Buggie is a very nice lady. attendance doesn't seem mandatory but she learns names pretty quick and she can tell if ur there or not.only 10 assessments due every Monday. Loves getting emails and chatting with the students<---easiest way to pass. Just email her and do the work. not a test or an exam. Good movies on WWII and atomic bombs.

She's a great teacher for this Modern America course. 10 Assessments. That's it. no tests or quizzes or homework. Just these 10 assessments. its basic and pretty simple. Involves some online research but she is a great teacher and more of talk than notes, which can be kind of nice.

Very challenged course for a 100 level. Expects more work on her assessments than I've done for higher level courses. She says that she likes students to go beyond the text and get outside information, but it isn't true. She simply wants what she or the book lays out, do this and you'll do okay.

This is probably the one WMS prof. who will push you to your limits with reading and assignments. Her class means business but she is fair since she tells you her class tough initially.Discussion in class is open and she loves participation. Once you figure out how to write responses and do the reading, you've got yourself an A!

Great professor and interesting topic, but a lot of reading and work. Still, if you go to her classes, pay attention and read everything is great! She explains a lot in class, and a bonus is that she is always willing to help you when you need! I recommend her as a professor, just be ready to do some work!

She's a very poor teaches, claims to offer help but when you follow her advice she doesn't provide the help she offered. Expects work of a graduate student for a general education requirement class. Very ridiculous. I'm an A student and found the course very difficult and the teacher impossible to please.
