If this is an elective class you want to take, save yourself some time and drop it now. Extremely way to much work for a level 1 college required class. Communication was awful, assignments online were barely updated and rarely any in class announcements.

She takes this class very serious. Be prepared for her to grade your papers like shes an English Professor. She moves through her lectures very fast, so it's hard to follow. Over all not the best experience.

Took online music class over winter session, which is three weeks long. So workload expected to be high & fast, with learning next to nothing of substance. The biggest problem is that, as mentioned, course is 21 days, and the professor took no less than 4 days to respond to both e-mails (2) or questions on blackboard directed to her. ZERO HELP.

Took her for History of Rock Music. Easy, and interesting class. You have an easy project at the end. She gives you 8 skips, and gives you points if you don't use all your skips. Would definitely take her again.

I had this professor for my American Music class. The material covered in class wasn't very interesting, but she was passionate about the material and it showed in her lectures. There were two music event's you needed to go two, but aside from that all the class assignments were easy and clear. If you put in an honest effort she will grade fairly.

Spent a lot of time on this course to receive an A. You do have to attend an event, which you choose, and do a report on it. Nothing in the class is all that hard to comprehend, but for me it was a lot of time spent on it. Just a lot more time than I expected. No complaints though. Learned a lot, worth it!

Great class. I was not interested in this class, but as I learned more about different music cultures the class was quite interesting. Very easy class, and the professor is easy to follow and is always available. The only thing i did not like was that you have to go to an off campus event that you have to pay for out of pocket.

Very nice. She is cheerful throughout her lectures. She uses the textbook in class,she also uses video and audio as well. This course can sometimes be boring but because its a world music course it usually isn't. I'm sure if you needed she would be more than willing to help. The tests are lengthy but she scales them which is very helpful.

You can get up to 8 absences. No homework. 2 required papers. A few quizzes and 2 tests. You can get a full letter grade of extra credit by writing 2 small papers and attending on campus concerts. Really easy, and it counts as a history!

Prof. Burke is one of the best teachers i've ever had. She has a great disposition and cares about her students. She really knows her material and teaches with alot of zeal. Sometimes I would be distracted because she is attractive and very cute.like a doll. She also has a very pleasant manner.

Burke is so nice! The tests and quizzes r wicked easy... i think she knows that this class is obvi. for people takeing it as a Gened and she takes it easy on you. Attendance is mandatory but she allows 8 ABSENCES with no deduction from your grade..most teachers allow like 2. The class is interesting and u can tell she loves it!!!
