Comment:

Profesora Grant is genuine and excited about Spanish. She is encouraging and helpful. She uses a variety of teaching methods. The tests were not easy, but came from the book and the supersite. She posted the assignments to moodle and unless you don't participate, you should do well in the class.

This is the easiest class you can find at Furman. Get an immediate A or A+ for just attending and participating a moderate amount. Prof. Grant is incomprehensible, but the information is so easy that you only need a basic translation site to get a solid A. TAKE HER!!

Prof. Grant is great! . She made the class interesting, with interesting and creative methods. She is passionate about the language and made everyone use Spanish! She is always fair and consistent. She loves her students! You will have to participate and be present to do well.

She is unorganized and very difficult to understand, which is frustrating because she will assume it's because you don't know the material. Also unfocused and wastes class time speaking off-topic. She assigns homework over cryptic emails, often sent unnecessarily late in the evening. Book/website were unreasonably expensive ($230, must be new).

Great woman. Mary Grant is without a doubt the Profesora for you if you aren't good at Spanish and just want to fill the GER and get an easy A. Tests and quizes are a joke. Minimal effort will earn you an A in her class. If you love Spanish and love to be challenged in the classroom, this is not the professor for you.

I dont know where to start. Very scattered. Missed more than a week due to illness. Tried to shove it all down our throats. If you are not great at spanish prepare to teach yourself. A big mistake. One of my biggest at Furman thus far.

Really spastic and spacey all the time. Sometimes doesn't know the material. Gets easier as the class goes on. Not difficult. She's really nice, though, and understanding, it seems. Not my favorite, but I didn't hate the class. It was bearable.

She is a horrible teacher. I don't know why Furman hired her. She is by far the worst teacher I have had a Furman. She doesn't know the material that she is teaching, therefore, it is impossible to learn anything. However, I will say she is nice.

Her SPN 11 class is very easy, but you won't learn anything. You have 2 choices: Stay with her throughout the sequence and learn nothing, or get out after 11 and get killed in 12 and 21. Good luck. She is a really nice lady though.
