She's a good teacher. Sometimes her teaching methods can be unconsistent and she occasionally goes off on a tangent. However, her class is worthy of being called a 5 unit class. She's very demanding and if you don't keep up, it's over. Her tone is occasionally off as well.

Speaks pretty slow. Somewhat bombards you with work but if you can keep up then you should do fine. She praises you too much though. Even if you said something wrong she says, "Very good!" which is lame cause in order to learn you have to know that what you said was incorrect.

She is psycho! Not only is her own chinese pronunciation a bit sketchy but she spends half the class trying to teach u her bad pron. She talks to students like they're 5 years old and sometimes acts like she is. Felt like she was talking down to us...

omg! the way that her class is structured is ALL backwards. yes she does have the enthusiam to teach but she makes you do the grammar worksheets before she teaches them to the class. on top of that her pronunciation is a lil off... take another teacher!!!

She is very enthusiastic and obviously loves to teach. The class does seem slow sometimes but since she only teaches beginners it shouldn't be too fast paced. Class isn't too hard if you study everyday and she gives extra credit. I highly recommend her

I have not had her myself, but I have lots of friends who do. She is over demanding too much homework and from what I hear her Chinese is subpar. From everyone i have talked to, it was one of the worst experiences of their lives at UCD

Her power point exercises and labs are extremely helpful. She gets everyone to participate and is very enthusiastic about teaching. Studying every night is a must! I enjoyed her and I'll be taking Chinese with her again.
