Her lectures are very hard to understand. Tells you she "can't read the book for you" and then proceeds to read the book. The tests have materiel that she did not cover in class. You have to put in extra study time on your own if you want to pass. Do the dynamic study modules. The test are basically them.

you MUST do further research on topics she says she suggests looking into because there WILL be questions about it on the test. shes a very intelligent woman whos very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what she teaches.

Ms. James was a good instructor; her exams were very hard, and you were expected to think critically and actively analyze the questions. She expects you to come to class and stresses the importance of good note-taking. As long as you study really hard, go to class, take good notes, and read from the book, you should be alright.

She is very tough, which would've been great if she guided/taught better. Felt like she expected us to fail from the start, changes her mind on dates/assignments but you have to keep up with her or she'll have no mercy. She curves her grades and I don't think it's possible to achieve 100% with her. You'll think you're failing but you prob won't.

Mary James is a great teacher you will learn so much from her. She is tough and you will work hard, for the lab reports she expects you to be a scientist in a past life. Her tests are tough she doesn't use a textbook, it's all note based. Bottom line you will work and you will learn!!!

Mrs. James is clear and concise. Her lectures are well prepared. She'll answer question during lecture, but gets right back on track. That's great if you've ever had a teacher who gets off on tangents. She is competent and excited to share, but she is also highly critical of assignments and demands her student's best work. I learned a lot from her.

I had Mrs. James for Microbiology & she can be confusing at times (she does like to ramble & jump around a bit) , I found that if you just pay attention, take notes & actually have a desire to learn, she's great. Lots of lab assignments but if you study, you'll be fine. Tests were tough but everything was covered in class & handouts.

Mary James is really great if you want to learn. She is not an easy teacher but if you want to learn the material and not just get a grade, she's the teacher for you. I would and have taken her again. Con are that she grades slow and is not always available for outside the class help. She does push you but she is a good teacher.

Had Mary James for a few different courses. All pan out the same. Says she answers texts and emails promptly. This semester I sent her three emails. No reply to any. She spends a lot of time talking about what shes going to get to instead of doing it and then you are rushing to get four things done while studying for a ridic exam- don't take her.

Took this course as a hybrid. Extremely hard!! She was never available when you needed help and would ignore you in lab if she didn't like you. Didn't know how I was doing until I got my final grade. Tests were very hard and never on the information she gave you to study.

Awful teacher. Does not return emails, text or communicates. Tells you she will post material and do things and then never follows through. Took this as online hybrid class and felt as though I was teaching myself out of the text book. Amount of material to complete in time allowed since assignments were never posted on time was impossible.

This was one of the worst teachers I have ever had going to school here. I sugest taking this class by itslef if you do take it because she makes you feel as if you have no life but, her class. This is a very hard class. My fist test with her consisted of 6-7 chapters.

I was terrified to take this class after hearing all of the horror stories. Honestly it is not the easiest class but its not the hardest either. Study the notes she gives you and make sure you have time to put into the class and it will show in your grades.

Micro is extreeemely difficult, but if you study her note packet really well guaranteed pass. she tells you everything that's going to be on the exam but it's usually too late to study all of the material...my advice is STUDY from day 1!
