To put it simply she just mind blows you on how easy she explains the material! She does live demonstrations in class to see how the theory works in the real world. The exams were no surprise at all! If you can do the hw she assigns for practice then you'll do great. She curves a bit to compensate. Hopefully she teaches physics 3 as well!

Mary is awesome! Physics used to bore me to death, but her classes were engaging, funny and I feel like I have actually retained some information in the long run. She's extremely approachable and helpful. Plenty of extra credit. Interesting in class demonstration. Choose her for all physics classes if possible!

She is like a miracle worker! She makes physics so simple and she is very organized. I didn't think her class was easy but really learned what physics is all about in her lecture and lab. By far the best physics instructor at cnm! If you want to register for physics and see her name then take her at all costs!

I had Mary for Physics II and Lab. She is a fantastic instructor. She does fun demos in class, and is an all around great person. She is willing to explain in several different ways. Physics is a hard class. It takes attention and hard work, but If I can get an A, then so can you...with Mary's class.

Mary Odom is an excellent instructor. I was literally dreading Phys II, but she actually made the class interesting and as enjoyable as it can be (for phys at 730am, lol). As long as you go to class and do the work, you will get a good grade. She's always willing to help when you need it. GREAT instructor!

I was expecting to fail this class because I hate science, but Mary is an EXCELLENT professor!!!!! Her tests are not hard as long as you review and she offers a lot of extra credit. I wish she was teaching the lab this summer!

No reason not to ace this class. Tons of extra credit opportunites for overall grade and on tests, and a fantastic enthusiastic instructor make this class a breeze. Doing your study guide "cheat sheet" guarantees your grade. Demos are interesting and teacher is a blast. Very excited about physics.

Physics is a hard class, however Mary is an absolute delight! I had her for the Physics 1 Lab as well as Physics 2 Lecture and Lab. She is extremely fair and gives you multiple chances to bring up your grade. Never makes you feel dumb for asking questions, TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!!!

Not a bad teacher at all. Does a lot of handwaving through concepts though (she's aware of it too). Her tests tend to be extremely simple -- extra credit q's, "cross out two problems", and so forth. Doing the homework is not required but well worth it.
