Comment:

This by far had to be my favorite class for spring semester. The class itself was REALLY easy and having Dr. Utzerath as a teacher made it even better. Her tests are basically replicas of the review guide with maybe an extra question or two. She can grade a little hard, but if she likes you, you'll be fine. As long as you keep up, guaranteed A.

I absolutely loved taking diff eq's with her. If you do your homework, it's a relatively easy class to do very well in. She doesn't curve but imo it's not very needed. Her lectures are thorough and she basically hands you the notes; I never once used the book other than for homework and faired well in the class.

Utzerath was a pretty good teacher. If you come to class everyday and take notes, the class really isn't that bad. You do have to pay attention and study a good amount for the testsquizzes but its doable. She posts old tests and study guides and is usually pretty organized. overall I would recommend her.

Tough grader. Painfully boring lectures. Not very good at explaining things and just writes everything on the board and expects you to understand why she got those answers. Very nice lade but wouldn't suggest taking her class just because the difficulty of her grading.

Simple material but people end up failing test no matter what because of her tough grading. No partial credit what so ever. Every little detail wrong she will deduct points. In addition she is kind of confusing during lectures.

Interesting teacher that was very clear and organized. The grading scale was tough, however there is a slight curve where you replace your lowest exam with your final exam grade (assuming it helps). However, her partial credit is awful and she will get very defensive about giving points back for dumb test mistakes. So be careful during exams!!

Not a bad class, a good teacher but terribly hard when considering how awful her grader is. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIAL CREDIT FOR ANYTHING. This is the reason nobody should take this class. I studied a ton for this class and did not do well, even though I knew the material.

Her stories are hilarious ask her about her goat! She has worksheets that you take notes on during the class that she almost uses those exact questions on the Exams. Very nice lady but you have to make sure you really do your homework everyday in order to do well. She is way better than Stocker however.

LOVE HER! she is really smart and makes class funny and fun! She knows what she is doing and always reminds us of her office hours! Overall, she is a good teacher, and I would definately recommend her!

Her exams are based directly from her lectures (which are taken directly from the book). She never asks you to solve one huge differential equation, but rather to solve one of the steps (it's easier for her to grade). Do the practice tests; they are VERY helpful.

She's a great great teacher. Do the study guides and follow the notes, I barely even used my textbook. Her office hours are really helpful as well. She's also a favorite for free candy and cookies. Class might start out hard, but it gets easier, trust me.

Ok teacher. Class is difficult, and she is a tough grader. She says she gives partial credit, but she really doesn't. The strange stories are interesting which make the class less painful. She is blind as a bat. I saw at least a dozen kids cheating on the final and she did not even notice.

Fine teacher, Rough class. For Diff EQ you either get it or you dont. unfortuantly i fit into the latter category. Note templates on d2l to be printed off for each class. Quizes arent too bad. Hwk is hard. Tests are very in depth but only cover what she covered in class. Interesting stories. Ask her about her horse, falling trees, and pregnant cats

She gives out handouts and sample tests. If you attend class and actually keep up with the handouts you will do great. Master the sample test and you will get a good grade. Her class sizes are way way smaller than Byleen's.
