Wilson is a nice person, but her ability to teach writing and engage the classroom is very weak. The demands she wants on your papers are structured to her preference and she isn't objective about how you want to write your argumentative paper. She criticizes your thesis heavily, but doesn't help you improve it except for completely changing it.

Dr. Wilson is a tough grader. The style in which she would like one to write is not the best and only style. Topic sentence, proof, opinion is a too simplistic form of writing. This style leaves little room for the author's personality to be present. Aside from that, she is kind. She does want her students to succeed.

Anyone complaining about the difficulty of the class is correct; it is difficult. This is a class that teaches you how to write and let's be honest, most people don't know how to write well. She has high standards but is very consistent grader. People that get bad grades are the ones that don't understand what she's looking for, and they don't ask.

Professor Wilson was very helpful, extremeley approachbile. Took her for 100 W and first day of class I wanted to leave, but she was never discouraging, she is difficult but fair.

I really enjoyed this class. I think History is interesting and Professor Wilson made it really easy to follow along. If you go to class and take notes you won't have any problems passing. The tests are short essay only, but don't let that scare you she lets you use 2 pages of notes. I would take her again for 15B, but her section was already full

The class is so excruciatingly boring. There is barely any homework so all the points for your grade come from two exams and the final. The exams are short answer, but her lectures were completely useless for them - you HAVE to read the textbooks or else you'll never know the answers. Overall I resented this class.

Very tough grader, but she is very helpful. Come to her office when you are stuck on papers, she will help you find sources (books, journal articles, etc). She will also give you ideas of what to improve on for your next papers. She is very hard, so be prepared. Turn in ALL assignments and do the rewrites, so you can be guaranteed a passing grade.

Went to office hors, she would give great ideas, used them in my writing and then she would ask, "Why did you write this or that"? She is very confusing and one book we bought we never used it, and the other one didn't use mush.....Very confusing teacher, although very nice

Thinking of HIST100W with Prof. Wilson, I think of something that The Doctor said, "Great men are forged in fire." Her class is literally the flame that will temper and strengthen your writing skills. The class is very challenging. So visit her during office hours. She helps out a lot in a 1-to-1 ratio. And she's always there for you!!!

She seems like a nice teacher and that she knows her stuff; however, she grades really hard on her work. Her tests, especially, are really hard. I've never had a test grade as low as one I got in her class. I suggest you read your textbooks and attend all her classes.

Go to class, write everything she says. The test are really easy, she allows you to use a sheet of paper for notes. I think she was funny, she has a funny laugh. She gives a 15 minutes break. Bring food if you want. she uses an understandable vocabulary.

Her lectures are kind of boring, so do not take any once a week classes. Fallow the syllabus and make sure you are caught up with it. The test are short essay questions and she gives the questions a week before the test. She also allows a sheet of hand-written notes. Her class is simple and not complicated.

Wilson is a good professor and a great lecturer. She really tries to make the information as easy to comprehend. Attending class is not mandatory but recommended. You can use one full sheet of paper on all exams which is very helpful! She's just very straight forward. If you take notes you will pass but she can be a hard grader.

I really enjoyed her class. Its tough but she is very clear about expectations. She really helped me become a better public speaker. Highly recommend. All tests are open note so take good notes and you will be fine. Kinda quirky but she grows on you
