Comment:

She's really a great woman. Very warm, friendly, etc. Unfortunately the quizzes are really just too tricky. I don't think they adequately judge your comprehension of French. Her marking of compositions makes up for it, I suppose. Overall a good prof, I definitely recommend her. You don't need to buy the grammar book.

She is so sweet! She is always able to make the class laugh. She does pick on people a lot, and even though I'm extremely shy it was not an intimidating environment at all. I'm only taking french because it is required for my degree, and I have her next semester too! Tests can be challenging. Quick marker, everything was handed back the next day.

I LOVE Maryse! She is an absolute sweetheart, I only went to class to see her! Material got tougher in French 102 but she was still very generous with marks. Class is lively and always lots of fun! Atmosphere = not intimidating at all. She is very accomodating and more like a friend than a prof. DEFINITELY take French with her!

Alors, don't complain about not understanding the materials if you're not attending class regularly-- it's obvious. She's very helpful and adorable! Tests and the final exam are reasonable easy; but again, if you're not going to take the course seriously, don't bother making your life and her life hard.

Best french teacher I've ever had. She was so kind and patient, and she's very easy to understand even when explaining complicated grammar rules in french. Exams were a bit tricky at times, but definitely fair. I feel like I improved a lot thanks to her. Do your best to have her as a prof :)

one of my best profs! she is very charismatic and fun. made french grammar actually enjoyable and she is very approachable if you need help. her tests can be tricky at times, but they make the final exam that much easier. everybody in my class loved her!

I cannot imagine anyone giving Maryse a bad rating! She is a wonderful prof, funny, friendly, knows students very well and cares about us. She is very well organized and energetic - not boring in any way and has a beautiful French accent to learn from. I would definitely reccommend her to anyone wanting to take an oral French class!

Who ever wrote that they feel disgusting after attending her class has a bitter taste in their mouth. Duggan is more than helpful. Accomodating. She's encouraging. Her teaching style is fun and always makes students laugh. She a nice person and a fair professor.

Oh her teaching style is disgusting. She is a biased marker, her tests are needlessly complicated. Her English is terrible so she can't even explain anything to a class of BEGINNER French students. Favours the native speakers. Maliciously picks on students. Ugh, I feel dirty after her class

Terrible professor who is not at all understanding. Her grammar tests are crazy hard (way harder than the final), and makes no sense when marking compositions. It doesn't help that she favours those who are already fluent in French and should not be taking the course. Stay away from her!

She is the best professor I've ever had! Really helpful and encouraging and cares about her students. Exams are hard, but the marking is not too strict. The course was helpful, but if you don't have to take this one, go directly to 122. We learn exactly the same thing and that's why I dropped 122.
