Comment:

This guy is about the best CS prof at Ohio State. I took Lisp with the Paul Graham book. Great teacher. You can tell he is a hacker extraordinaire. Smart as heck, very deep understanding of LISP - considered taking the course again just to build on it. Also, the guy is very funny if you listen. On comedy value alone his class is worth it.

Comment:

His teaching style is best described as "cool". He explains a complex language in simple terms, and his choice of text made for an interesting read. He was always accessible before and after class to offer his opinion on my code, and he was very flexible on assignments (no exams and multiple chances at labs). A very rewarding class.

If you ask questions, matt will give whatever sort of answer you require. So the class is in part stand up comedy, part self-motivated learning, and part case study of why matt thinks lisp is a cool language. Matt is also very help during office hours.
