Dr. Roth is a wonderful prof. He's super relaxed, enjoys the materials, and helps facilitate meaningful class discussions. He gives kind and constructive criticisms on assignments. He cares not only about the subject matter and studs work, but he truly cares about the students themselves. I highly recommend taking a class with Dr. Roth.

I took Dr. Roth for FYS and Creative Writing. He's honestly such a great professor that really cares about his students. He can be super sassy and funny as well as flexible and accommodating. There are quite a fews papers and assignments but they're not too difficult, and he gives great feedback. Definitely take Roth if you can.

Dr. Roth is an amazing professor. He is very intelligent, and learning from him is very easily. He is passionate about Nabokov and makes others passionate. If you get the opportunity, take this class of his.

Dr. Roth is the sweetest soul! His class is sometimes hard to pay attention to due to his mild voice, but he is actually extremely funny and clearly good-hearted, as well as respected by students. You do have to try hard on papers, but he gives helpful feedback and will absolutely be there for you in terms of personal needs as well.

He's a nice guy, but this class is a bit boring. It's not really his fault, what can you expect from an Intro to English Studies class? No real tests, just 2 big papers. Sometimes he takes points off if he doesn't agree with your interpretation which I find a little annoying.
