An awful professor, you will have a quiz after every class and homework due every class. He will never lecture, class is a flipped style and you will never learn anything and if the answers werent on quizlet I wouldve failed because the only way you learn is from other students that could also be wrong. Attendance is a grade everyday

I had Dr. Winslow this past fall semester and enjoyed his class. It was the first Psy class with 200 students and we did the "jigsaw" way of teaching. Class attendance/ jigsaw papers given everyday (which are short Qs and easy points) / "rags" & quizzes are worth 30% each of your grade while the exam was 10%! It was easy and liked professor.

I took this class first then his Psy250 class. This one was based on online assignments. If you buy the actual book with access code, the assignments are much easier if you look at the book carefully ;) The project is alright just a lot to do. You can make an A for the class if you put time into it.

I just finished this course and it was a lot of work (as in number of assignments and time it takes). Some of the concepts were confusing but he is willing to help. Just try and take time on the materials and you will do fine.

Dr. Winslow is a great professor! For my class he switched to the "flipped" class, where you read and listen to the lecture at home, then discuss and quiz on it in class. The only thing I didn't like about that was that you don't have a lot of time to learn the material. Sometimes the questions can be a bit confusing as well.

Loved this class and loved this teacher! It does involve a lot of work but as long as you actually put effort into what you're doing then you'll get a good grade. We had 13 outlines, 6 tests, and 2 papers. I know it sounds like a lot but at the end of the semester it ended up being one of the most interesting and fun classes I have ever taken.

Ok this is a pretty easy class but you have to show up for class and keep up with the outlines. The exams are worded to confuse you but the answer is obvious. He's kinda got some humor and he is sorta easy on the eyes. Great personality though!! Would recommend him to anyone.

Tests are confusing, Seems to be unorganized. Would not e-mail back, seems that assistants do most of the work. Insisted on using off network sites for some of the class work.

He is an amazing professor! I had a lot of fun in this class and the information is very important. He's really funny. You can do whatever you want on the final paper which is really cool. The only bad thing is doing chapter outlines every week which takes a long time.

His "writing intensive" class wasn't writing intensive at all. You have to do outlines which require no more than a pulse to complete. That being said, he's a really nice guy and the class was interesting. I only took it to satisfy the "w" requirement, but I'm glad I chose this one.

True to its name, this class involved a LOT of reading/outlining/writing. If you attend ALL classes and pay attention and use the Blackboard resources, the class is easy and enjoyable!

Tricky test questions. If u study, u will do ok though. Going to class helps u understand information. Doesnt make u read the book, but i would advise getting the study guides off black board early and actually writing the answers from the book/notes. If u dont do that, i dont know how u will make it! Not a lot of or hard assignments. Emails back!

An awesome professor, totally funny, nice, charming and loves what he teaches. He is always quick with replying to emails and always trying to help. His tests can be quite difficult if you don't study and/or read the book, but as long as you study your notes and do the homework you can get an A.

I came into this class thinking it would be extremely dull (I mean, information literacy, really now) but Dr. Winslow has made it interesting. He is passionate about the subject and conveys that to the students. This class is not a blow-off though. He doesn't take attendance but don't take that as an excuse to skip class, you will NEED to attend.

Excellent Class. Come to study though. If you do the outlines on the chapter you should be good. If you don't, be prepared for a C or less. Classes are fun and you will learn alot. Be prepared for really tricky tests.

Extremely nice teacher! Very negotiable & understanding. I had heard neg. things about him, but strongly disagree. Only takes attendance every-so-often. Tests are kind of rough though, tricky questions eventhough they are multiple choice. Probably the best Psy teacher that I've had so far @ EKU. Highly recommend. Do STUDY!!!!

I heard good things about him, but I personally didn't like his grading style. He gives good lecture outlines, but the multiple choice parts to his tests are confusing. Kind of like choose the 'most right' answer out of five possible right answers.
