Comment:

Muldoon is an average professor but very knowledgeable. She wants you to succeed but you definitely need to apply yourself. Do the practice problems, show up to class, and takes notes, you'll be fine. The lecture exams were challenging and do require studying for. There were 3 exams with an optional fourth exam. Be prepared to work for your grade!

Had her for lecture, she's not a terrible professor, or a outstanding one. She runs through slides too fast, and isn't always the best at explaining material. DO NOT buy the physical textbook, she gives you a digital download to save over $100. Takes attendance by questions answered via clicker. Typical lecture prof, lectures are boring but easy.

Comment:

Dr. Muldoon is a great professor! You can tell she is very passionate about her field of work and really knows what she's talking about. Everything on the tests was exactly what we had covered in lecture and she made sure we were prepared. There wasn't much homework and her lecture notes were easy to follow; would definitely recommend taking her.

She's very passionate and a real expert in hydrogeology. Show up to class she grades on participation on clicker questions. TAKE THIS CLASS INSTEAD OF PHYSICAL GEOLOGY. Don't buy the textbook, she makes you get an e-book which has your homework on it and has the full text in the portal. Great class that is not boring. I would recommend this class.

The class itself isn't overly difficult, you just have to make sure that you actually attend class, pay attention, and study. She answers any and all questions people have during lecture and waits for everyone to write down the notes before moving on.

Maureen is a fantastic professor. The goal of college is not to skip class and get an easy A. She is very organized, has basically the whole semester planned on point. She does write difficult exams, but the grading scale is curved to account for a 70 average on them. If you study you should be fine. She cares about you, and will respond to emails.

The opinions expressed by most past GEO150 students do not do Moe justice. If you are interested in hydrogeology, she is very well respected in the field and is seriously an expert. She really makes you actively learn and by no means makes anything easy. However, she is extremely helpful if you ask her for help and is super down to earth

Comment:

Muldoon is an excellent professor. This course really doesn't demand that much effort. Attend lecture every day and take good notes, reading the book isn't completely necessary. By studying my notes and completing the online assignments, getting a good grade is easy. I'd also recommend attending her study sessions that she has for the exams.

The worst professor I've ever had. Do not take this class. The information is way to in depth for a 100 level course. The tests are almost impossible even if you study for hours using the book,notes and slides. She almost ticks you and asks questions like which of these is false or will put very similar answers. The labs are also super hard.

Muldoon is a great professor. I would strongly recommend taking her. She only tests you on what she explains in lecture. She has a lot of field experience and always provides pictures in lecture and that keeps it entertaining! I would take her again!

Absolutely do not recommend. VERY HARD tests and gives out way too much information to be able to narrow down what will be on the test. Average exam score for the class is 70's or lower. Avoid at all costs.

I don't recommend this teacher what so ever. She isn't mean, but she is very unclear with the lectures, and goes at such a fast pace where you cannot get all the notes down. She makes her exams a 60% average which is very hard to reach. I also wouldn't go to her for help because she makes you feel dumb and if you should already know the material.

She is so passionate and knowledgeable. She really makes geology interesting because she uses real world examples that affects every person. If you study, read the notes, and participate in lab you will for sure pass this class. she will also go through you exam with you or go through lab with you. Its a fun class, this is a great science class

Tests are soooo hard!! You can study for hours and do bad. Also do not skip class. Participation is HUGE part of grade and she has clicker questions every day. She's okay.

This professor provides adequate help if asked. Her exams are extremely hard and require you to apply the content in everyday situations, which is EXTREMELY difficult. Anyone who takes this class, be in for a hell of a ride!
