He's a nice person, but rambles on about everything. Very unfocused class, and didn't learn much. The midterm and the final were almost exactly the same and were very simple. Class was beyond boring most of the time. It didn't help that the two TA's were totally worthless.

Dr. Thronton is undoubtedly full of knowledge, but can't teach at all. He rambles on about nothing and the best you can hope for is to pick up on some names and hope those are on the test. Due dates changed like the weather and the TA, while helpful, couldn't keep up with everything. Just avoid!

STAY AWAY!!! Knows his stuff, but doesn't know how to teach it. Rambles on and on. Very Boring!! TA and the teacher have different due dates for same assignment. Very confusing!! Tests are not clear and the review session is at ten at night. STAY AWAY!!!

Liked the subject matter and still was Really boring, thorton was hard to understand, his TA made things more clear tho. Essays were very vague but the standards were little higher than highschool. Multiple choice tests were not impossible but definitely needed some study time to do well. Review class repeats everything from classes

Awful! Has no clue what he is doing. He comes in unprepared for class. He just puts random things on tests. He does not know how to teach anything. A 10 year old could teach the class better. Stay away. I'm sure it would be a good class if someone who knows how to teach taught it, but until he is fired or retires, don't take it.

Runs video behind him on fast forward until he forgets what he's talking about then presses play and sits down. Once fell asleep in class. Time to retire.

anyone who says that this class is hard obviously can't do any work above the minimum required. i haven't studied for a single test and i'm guaranteed an A in this class. it's so simple! take it. granted he does get boring to listen to but nowadays all he does is show us movies :)

Greta lecturer-- breath of fresh air compared to most professors... informative while leaving room for student growth by allowing questions to be answered promtly and applying history to current times & through his own reflection.

very nice guy, knows what he's talking about, but a little unclear on assignments and let the TA's have too much power over homework and grading. Tries to keep everyone happy. lectures are great, but the grades are arbitrary and the TA's change the rules

This class has very easy information and the tests aren't too hard. But, as for the professor, he can't form whole sentences very well and when he does it takes about a half hour for him to get one out. He is boring to listen to so we pray for videos.

this class has good outside speakers that come to talk..very interesting in that respect. otherwise, STAY AWAY. especially if the T.A. is Ms. Alexander because despite her best intentions she doesnt like white people too much.
