had the tues/thurs 440 class he was late every day with the exception of test days which he somehow managed to get there like a half hour before the start of class ... doesn't teach well and doesn't care about his students if u like chem drop him now if you can i hear florio is a better teacher

He probably gives the easiest tests out of the all the teachers you can choose from for this course, somewhere around 25-30 relatively easy MC's usually. They are especially easy if you are somehow able to get your hands on his old exams because usually,his tests use the same questions with, at the worst,slight variations.Big curve at the end helps

easy tests, though the orgo test was pretty hard, teaches straight out of the book, pointless to go to class, just read the textbook and know how to do problems. stopped going to class and did well nonetheless. your textbook will be your best friend and teach you more than he will. curve was amazing at the end also!

I didn't learn in his class. I stopped going because I couldn't pay attention. But seriously, all you need to do is the practice exercises in the textbook. Know how to solve them without looking at previous examples. there are only a few for each chapter. also,try to get his past exams, they are almost the same. I got an A- and I hate chem.

He's an awesome teacher. You don't have to do any assigned work for his class at all, or go to class at all! Just read the book on your own and you should do fine. I got a 76, 78 and an 80 on the 3 exams I took in his class, but got an A overall in the end! He's funny, easygoing and doesn't care if you're just on your laptop the whole time!

If you get a hold of last years tests they are practically identical. He is a great teacher and funny and nice take him Ull do fine unless ur LAZY

the thing with this professor is that he has so much to do. the notes he uses himself are photocopies of the textbook with highlights. his examples come from the green box in the text, nd he makes mistakes copying it. he cannot teach, so you really have to read the text AND understand it. tests are fairly simple...better than other chem tests

Bertini is not a bad teacher or a bad guy! Don't listen to these people. He's not the best teacher in the world and tends to rush through the material without explaining well but his tests make up for it. The tests are easy and they are straight to the point. He gives you nothing more or nothing less he is a good teacher overall.
