Max is awesome! He is the hardest working man I've ever seen and a great professor. He teaches us how to be great journalists and also how to be champions. It has been such an honor to be a part of The Sun newspaper at SWC. It is amazing that we are the best newspaper in America and it is because Dr. Max pushes us to be our best.

Congratulations to Dr. Branscomb who was named the best professor or teacher in South San Diego County by the readers of the Star News newspaper. I was his student a few years ago and he was so helpful and encouraging. He changed my life. If you are serious about learning about journalism, Southwestern College is the place to go. Professor Branscomb is the best teacher I've ever had, period. He changed my life and convinced me that I have talent when I wasn't so sure. I am so proud to be part of the nation's best college newspaper and magazine. Max works soon hard for us and I appreciate everything he does.

Dr Branscomb is a great professor! When I signed up for summer school I was kinda sad about getting up early and going to school during the summer, but after the first class I COULDNT WAIT to get up and go to this class. He made it fun, it was interesting and I LEARNED A LOT. I am going to take more of his journalism classes.

Dr. Max ROCKS!!! I learned so much from him. The Sun is like a family and he is like everyone's dad. He works really hard to make his classes good experiences for all his students. His class isn't really a class because he tries to make it more of a real journalism setting. So expect to only see him at the beginning of class and when you get your edits in. Your real "teachers" are your editors because you're constantly communicating with them about your works. Not too bad of an experience, but I do wish it was more organized.

Paper production is not very organized and he is involved too much. Stories are assigned based on his agenda and editing process takes weeks. It was a waste of time making recommended edits to stories when Dr. Max would change the whole thing. Misses a few lectures because of side projects, but you don't learn much about journalism. Super easy A

This guy is a really great teacher and super funny. He made the class fun and interesting. You have to come to class everyday, but you will get some days off because he travels with the newspaper students. I learned alot and enjoyed DR. BRANSCOMB'S CLASS!
