Comment:

Ms. Hess was awesome. She is very knowledgeable in her science. However, she was too nice. Grading was weird because she drops test grades so that everyone passes. HW was nothing like her tests, more like she had to give it out. Her tests are very complicated in wording. Study for sure. Take all the notes she gives. She's very understanding too.

Professor Hess is awesome! If you show up to class every day and review the material well, it is possible to get an A. She is super nice, approachable, and does a great job explaining the material. There are only three or four homework assignments. Each one is made up of about 30 questions, but you have almost a month to complete it.

Professor Hess was such a gem to have during the general chem series. Although chemistry was/is still not an enjoyable subject for me, Megan created a positive learning environment through creative in-class activities, supplemental videos, and was always available for help. I appreciate the immense passion she projects about chemistry!

I really enjoyed my time spent in this course. Megan is very passionate about her subject and has an ability to convey complicated material in a manner that fosters learning. She makes herself available outside of class and really does give a lot of herself to aid in her students success. In-class assignments aimed at reinforcing content.

Megan Hess is by far one of the best teacher's I have ever taken! After seeing her reviews on here I decided to make the 30 minute drive from Puyallup to Fort Steilacoom everyday. It was so worth it! She helped me understand everything I found confusing in 139. I'm actually retaining the information she has taught.

Best chemistry teacher ever! After transferring to a 4 year, I can't tell you how much I miss being in her class. Her notes are amazing and I retained what I learned in her class extremely well. She's super friendly and respects you as a student. Couldn't recommend more!

Her lectures notes that she emails make it possible so you hardly ever have to even open the book (Which is free/online). As long as you show up, listen, take notes, print her chapter notes youll be fine. In my opinion, it would almost be hard to fail her class if you are a good student. I have a hard time w Chem and I got an A! Love her class

As long as you show up, print her emailed Chapter notes (Which are amazing, and is all you need to know!) take notes from her lectures on notes sent in email, study, do the hw and labs, you are sure to pass. Chem is hard, but she makes it easy as possible! She is there to help- just ask for it! She makes herself available thru email & office hour

She does a great job teaching the material you need to learn. It's a little fast pace but if you show up and do the work you are bound to pass with at least a B. She cares about her students and will do anything she can to help them. She provided extra practice and gives you great reviews before the test. She made me fell in love with chemistry.

She was incredibly helpful. she's the reason i fell in love with chemistry. the homework was long but reasonable. really made sure to give us extra practice when we needed it. always graded tests on time. she loved questions. nobody was afraid to ask questions in her class. thats a huge deal. i absolutely loved her. i recommended her.

Great teacher. Gives back tests the day after you take them, and gives you credit everywhere she possibly can so show your work! Semi-diffucult material but she is so organized and provides you with so much practice that the class is definitely an easy A. I am terrible at Chem but am almost over 100% in the class.
