she's a great lecturer and really wants you to learn the material, but she assigns homework due the day of exams and takes FOREVER to put in grades. we learned things, but it felt like there was no real structure in the class.

Not a bad class. Biology isn't easy if you don't enjoy science but she makes it a lot easier to understand. Go to class and take notes. You should be able to at least get a B just by doing that. Fun lectures, at times.

Comment:

Professor Tommerup is such a funny outgoing professor that made Bio easy to understand. Although you must work for your grade she is such a gem. Really enjoyed going to her class even though I am not a science major. So happy I took the class with her. Just be ready to work and an A is attainable.

Comment:

Very funny, made class interesting. Don't usually like science, but I enjoyed her class. Told funny and relevant stories to help us understand concepts better. Three tests, optional final, and a couple writing quizzes. Overall, really enjoyed the class.

She's more of a story teller than a professor. The tests were pretty hard and had questions she never went through in lectures. She gives no feedback whatsoever. She gave me the wrong grade online and I talked to her directly twice and emailed her 3 times about it. It's been couple months and she still hasn't changed it. She's nice, but unreliable

Shes funny, makes it all very interesting. There are study guides and extra things provided to help study for the tests. DO THE STUDY GUIDES and you will pass. I really enjoyed the class. There are 3 exams and two writing quizzes and One Optional Final! A few homework worksheets but easy to do.

By far my favorite professor I've ever had. She actually made me want to come to a science class. Always told funny stories that made what we were learning interesting. Had 3 exams with an optional final, a few quizzes, and a few easy papers/ projects. Would absolutely take again!

She is one of the best professors in the Biology Department. She teaches very well and is lecture heavy. There were times she told stories and she made the class very entertaining. There were times she made me laugh. She's pretty awesome.

She is hilarious. If you think she might be trying to trick you on a test it is because she is. You have to study for her tests and must attend class but does not take attendance. She doesn't give homework. You definitely can get an A if you really study. Great professor I would take again.

She spends most of her lectures trying to make us laugh rather then understand the material. I found myself teaching myself all the material at home because it wasn't taught in class. Takes weeks to put grades up. She kept pushing back tests and we ended up with about 2 classes to learn a full unit for the last test. I didn't learn much from her.

Professor Tommerup is awesome. She is a bio master. She breaks down the info. smoothly and relates it to everyday life, so that her students can grasp it. I'd definitely would recommend her. "Telophase!"

Dr. Tommerup is hilarious and her lectures are super straight-forward. She assigns very little homework, and she always ensures everyone understands the material. I literally opened the textbook once the entire semester for a homework assignment, you don't need it.

Students who is attentive during class, takes notes, and studies WILL PASS with at least a B. The info consisting of the lectures she gives is the only information she puts on the exams. Not much homework, which makes you responsible for studying and understanding topics. Not only did she make Biology easy to understand but her class was hilarious.

This class is so much fun! She is super nice and she's hilarious which makes it a lot easier to focus. She does everything she can to help you and make sure everyone understands the material. She explains things super clearly and simply so if you pay attention you'll understand it all pretty easily. Make sure to study well for tests!

You HAVE to go to class, pay attention, take notes, STUDY for tests, and do well on assignments, but it's that way for every bio class. Final is optional and replaces your lowest test grade. I've had so many friends fail Bio with other teachers, she's THE BEST. Just trust me and take her. Promise you won't regret it. One of my favorite teachers!

There is a lot of writing in this class but overall it's pretty easy assuming your internship doesn't drive you nuts. The professor is very nice but she can be a pretty tough grader. I would take this class alongside other classes at your 300 or 400 levels because it's really not that work intensive.

This class is great if you need help deciding on a career choice or if you want to learn more about one you're pursuing. Dr. Tommerup made this class enjoyable with her quirky jokes and always positive attitude. Helped me consider pursuing a career I wasn't even thinking about until after taking this class. If you can take it, DO IT!

Tommerup is very nice and clear. This class is very hands on and you learn a lot with her teaching methods. She makes Biology fun and easy to learn. I would take this class again! I hated biology before this class and now I enjoy biology. TAKE HER IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!
