Comment:

She isn't hard, but Financial Statement Analysis has SO much material. Lots of HW (It is what it is). 2 Exams (40ish questions) Made a 70 (40% each) on both - she gives curves! 1 8-15 pg analysis paper, 1 narrated presentation - she gives you the template no worries. Made a 100 (10% each) on both, which gave me a C. Class itself is difficult.

2 Tests, 1 Company 10K Excel assignment, 1 15 page paper over 10K & Company, 1 Company Presentation (Narrated Powerpoint). The tests are worth the most of your grade. The professor comes off strong but don't let that scare you away. You need to come to class, she gives vital information about the assignments! Work the questions for tests!

This teacher doesn't come off as friendly, or helpful. You NEED the book. In class she makes the students answer questions from the book in order, which she expects you to have already worked at home. She says attendance isn't mandatory but that most people who don't come usually fail the class. there is a midterm, a final, and a large project.

Start by saying I always give instructors a chance. Instructor give a lot of work but it only accounted for a small percentage of the grade. Work really hard for a long period of time, don't get many points on. Only 2 test, which is good. Wish would have gave quizzes, would help students understanding of material

Not so easy class. I made a C in the class. I would suggest you to read, her exams are from every to any corner of the book. Just 3 exams. She gives alot of extra credit but her exams are so hard that with the extra credit you can make a C or B. You will have to work very hard to get an A. Again, a lot of reading.

She's not the friendliness person I've met and she cares 0% about anything else that is going on in your life meaning don't expect her to work with you for a make-up test, missed class, etc. With all that being said, she's easy. Go to class, make your notecard for the test (type it and use like 3 font). Do the reviews and study slides A.

Half way throuh this class. Great professor. Sets clear expectations. Crystal clear lectures. Tough subject so study hard! DO NOT try to wing the tests. You will fail! Mid-term, final, and class participation for the grade.

Very straight forward instructor. Very good instructor. Class is very VERY hard but she gives podcasts and helps the students. Fill in the blank exam, no m/c, so you REALLY have to know the subject.

Every test falls on a Saturday. She is rude and inconsiderate. Make sure you remember the material from Business Finance before taking this class because it is tough. I'd recommend another teacher if anything.

Comment:

Really good teacher. The semester I took her she also had an online class so we were able to download the chapter lectures online and listen to them and not go to class, (even though she encourages class attendance, it is not mandatory.) The test came from 90% of the homework and quizzes. Very helpful!

This is a difficult class & covers a lot of new Finance material but Dr. Williams knows her stuff. She expects you to work for your grade but could care less if you fail the class. She tells you up front that if you don't put in the time, you will not pass the class. I reccommend taking it in person and not online. Be prepared to WORK!

My 1st class with her, she is bluntly honest. If she tells you to read or do a problem DO IT. She is not easy, but if you want to learn she gives you everything you need. And if you go to her office for help, she will help. Very helpful, she wants you to learn and does not tolerate slackers.

Would be a better class without all the slackers! She works very hard to help us learn, but its still a hard class. If you do the homework and come to class (on time, duh?) and actually try to learn it, its not that tough. Some people have a hard time, but only the losers.
