She is very nice and understanding, definetly more relaxed about tests and assignments than the other professors. Wished she taught all the chinese levels.

she is more like teaching kids than adult learners. university students would need some intellectual inspiration as well - even if in a language class!

BEST TEACHER EVER!! Really sweet and funny. Jokingly makes fun of the guys in her class. Always interesting. Gives a lot more homework than the other chinese teachers, but makes it so much more interesting that you are completely motivated to do it.

Just lovely. I wish she could teach EVERY LEVEL of Chinese at McGill. This would probably kill her, but... Just remember, if you want to learn Chinese at McGill, she's the BEST choice to start with.

Really really helpful, laoshi always had time to help out, and the due dates are soo optional. Really just wanted you to "get it" and was totally up for laughs everyday. Great prof.

chinese as a language is difficult, but i think she makes it as easy as possible and encourages you even if you're struggling. though unassuming and incredibly nice, she can still keep order, and is funny without trying too hard.

Very nice! Although the class was so hard..but I guess it's the language which is hard...plus she made everything so clear and tried to make things easier, so it was great!

Took the intensive beginner chinese class this summer and, with another teacher, I don't think I'd have managed to get through it. She managed to keep 40 students in class 4 hrs/day, 5 days/week for two months and a half during summer. That says it all!
