Dr. Ralston is very knowledgeable on course material and beyond; having written extensively and producing films. Feminist epistemology was quite difficult- complex thought and a fair amount of reading. Dr. Ralston expects a great deal from her students and she will challenge you to do your best. Fair marker, encouraging, leads the classroom well.

although she may have relied a little too heavily on the textbook during the class that i took, nothing replaces the experience she has in the real world and the passion she has for passing that knowledge along a fair marker that expects a high level of performance, anyone interested in pushing boundaries and challenging themselves should take her

This woman is genius. Lots of fantastic background and extremely interesting. Take the time and chat to her out of classroom. She's worked hard at what she's done, she expects you to work too. Her teaching style is very clear and she's helpful. Get serious and take a class with her!
