GPA Booster! Just attend class and do the work you should be fine. Very laid back professor... only two quizzes which is open note and open book, 3 papers and one group presentation on a topic of your choice. The book is a pdf form online.

She's really nice and will always make sure you understand the material. There's a few papers and she takes nearly a month to grade them. She's also kind of disorganized, but I would probably take her again.

This woman is so sweet and funny! Mandatory attendance but the classes are so entertaining. I had her on Tues. and Thurs. and she mostly gave us Thurs. off. Work on all assign. early and explain your topics logically and thoroughly and you will be fine. There is only one test. I never used the textbook but, I always used her online notes.

Loved this class! Professor Rowland definitely knows the material being taught thoroughly. I would definitely take this class again. She is so sweet! Some classes were part of an "online class" where we would just do discussions and I loved those because we would not have to go to class that day. We would just work on those. Great class!

Easy class, although a little peeved that I had to buy an expensive textbook that we really didn't use at all, due to her giving chapter notes (and the quizzes were based off the chapter notes.) Seemed a bit standoffish even through the computer, but the class was a breeze so I guess I can't complain.

Class is easy as long as you show up and do the few assignments. She is not friendly, and is often rude. Does not have time to meet with students. Takes forever to hand back assignments. Class is very disorganized. Easy, but so annoying, especially if you are not interested in philosophy.

Only three tests, a group presentation, and a paper based off your presentation. A really good professor however she tends to get very repetitive sometimes during her lectures. She also tends to push back a lot of dates because she falls behind in grading a lot. However, I would take her again!

I still don't know the purpose of this course or have any idea what was taught. Class was pointless, she never returned any grades so I never knew what I had. And she told us she hasn't graded things from the beginning of the semester, yet assigned a 15 page at the end of the semester. She is very nice, and is willing to answer any questions.

Prof. Rowland taught an Ethics course at BCC last semester. I felt she gave great outlines for the chapters and awesome questions for the online posts. Online course well organized and the syllabus was on point. I learned a lot and this class taught me to view things from different perspectives. When I did have a question she responded quickly

An easy class to take if you don't want to have to do alot of work outside the class. 2 papers, 2 tests, 1 group presentation, and attendance make up your grade. Well informed about what she teaches, but is super picky about word choice. Basically if you don't write word for word what her notes say on tests she takes off points, which is annoying.

Good teacher, easy class. Go to class if you want to do good. 2 tests, so easy. If you disagree with how she scored you, she will look at your test again with you because it is essay format. no final. and one presentation that you get 100 on if you follow instructions. and 2 papers, so easy. Take her if you get the chance. Its a relaxing class.

Had good textbook knowledge but it seemed like her understanding of ethics was bland and she was just parroting all the things she learned. She's picky about word choice on tests and basically knows what she wants to hear as right. Not a whole lot of engaging ethical debates like I expected. The material was dry and I didn't like the class too much

Prof Rowland is one of the best professors here! She completely understands what she's saying and breaks down the curriculum as much as possible. Tests are pretty hard but feeling prepared isn't the problem it's the fact that she grades pretty hard, she is very picky about word choice. Class discussions are awesome and I recommend this class to anyone because the material is very enlightening and interesting.

Professor Rowland is a must take if you're looking for an ethics class. She really knows the material and the notes she gives you helps you understand the concepts much easier than the book is able to. Class is interesting when students speak up and is generally not boring. Only complaint I have is the amount of time she takes to pass back work.

This class was awesome! She is a very nice professor that will answer any question you have. Two tests and two papers. As long as you include what she is asking for you'll do fine. I am taking her again next semester.

Took a online course, never grades papers on time. Do not know if you are doing the papers correctly, no feedack. Does not respond to emails in a timely manner. Does not have assignments set up online in a timely manner to complete assignment. Would not take instructor again due to being disorganized.
