Comment:
Anderson is the worst teacher I have ever had. He explains nothing. If you had AP Chem in high school, go you, if you did not its gonna be one wild ride for you. His practice tests are 100 times easier then his real tests so you think you got it until the real test is sitting in front of you. He also doesn't explain squat. Good Luck Charlie.

Comment:
Doc A is a very knowledgeable professor and his class is very manageable. His practice tests he offers are 95% similar to the test and he goes it the class before the test, which is VERY helpful. I took AP Chem, which helped a lot, but what I have realized is that the grade you receive represents the effort you put into learning the material.

Dr. Anderson is like everyone's grandpa. He sometimes even refers to students as his grandchildren. I love him as a person but he is not the best at explaining things. I have to go to the tutor at least once a week to keep up with the class. He does warn you about his pop quizzes and his tests are pretty easy.

He has a very monotone voice and does not teach to the level of proficiency that the other teachers do. If you want to teach yourself, take this class; if not run away from it as fast as you can!

Comment:
Dr. Anderson is lectures for most of class, and often puts students to sleep with his monotone/quiet voice. He knows his stuff, but if you don't understand, you're better off going to an attached tutor or an upperclassman for help. He will answer questions with a textbook answer and doesn't seem able to rephrase in an easier to understand way.

I love Dr. Anderson. Sometimes class can get boring but if you pay attention to his jokes it'll be better. He sends worksheets out after every class. You don't have to do them, but they are very helpful. If you have questions on the homework he will go over them in class. He also sends out practice exams unlike other professors.

A continuation of the last review. He doesn't care if you have a 0 and is still gonna be nice to you. He's old school so sit in the front. Read book and DO HOMEWORK. Review HWs/notes before pop q's (2 a week) & tests. Do HWs again to prepare for tests and know the notes. Tests are the homework but a lot of problems on test. DON'T TAKE IF PREMED

If you took AP or IB HL chem, you're fine. If not, DONT take. Not helpful, rude, favoritism, many test problems, confusing lectures , etc. You'll have him for lab too and HIS LAB HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH LECTURE. This is not normal for other labs, so if you drop lecture, good luck in doing well on lab final. Don't take if you're premed. Im premed

He knows and loves to teach chem., but if you don't get something after he explains it to you 1-1, he doesn't help that much. Also, he has some students who he likes, based on how well you do and participation. Make sure you don't look like you don't know the material. 2 quizzes per week. Tests: based on packets and doable but LOTS of problems!

He is very knowledgeable about his subject. He loves HIS prior students. Will cover material. Expects you to know prior information. Rambles. Do his examples, but they lack details if your extremely detailed. Packets are the exam, but requires you to work hard. I would never take him again. The class is difficult. work with your peers

Anderson is great honestly my favorite teacher hands down, tests are hard and there are a lot of quizzes but the kids who took AP chem did great almost 100% in the class for most of them. I did not and he still helped me, he tells you to go in for office hours and do!! He is great I love him and wish I could have him for my other classes

Favorite professor at Creighton. Do the packets he gives out. Everything on the tests is in the packets and on the notes. Gotta love Doc A!

He is the cutest little old man! He's very sweet and always willing to answer questions. The class is fairly easy but pay attention to quiz dates. Not doing well on one quiz may determine whether your final grade is a B+ or A, like in my case. However, it's not a hard class.

He can be confusing, and will often mix up numbers so if you're not following along, it can be hard to know what's going on. But it is an easy class if you do the work.

Dr. Anderson is adorable, like a small gnome. I understood the material really well, but some of my friends had difficulty. He does go quickly and doesn't do many demonstrations. He is very willing to answer questions,

He is very nice and organized. I recommend doing the homework even though you don't have to turn it in. He is very willing to help you if you are struggling and he makes up his own tests and final. He also is in charge of his own chem lab which is really nice.

Go to class and take notes and the class is cake. He knows most people at Creighton aren't history majors, but still makes lecture interesting. Study Guide for tests. One take home test. Great professor with real world experience (plus, he's fun to look at too).
