Horribly sarcastic and condesending. Likes to mumble alot and is hard to understand, seems likes hes got some serious issues. But the class was decent, if you go and make an effort you'll do alright

Prof. Carlin knows his stuff, but he's not good at explaining it clearly. We jumped around so much, and his notes on the chalkboard are messy and hard to read. If you have taken stats before, you'll be ok. If not, be sure to go to office hours. The TAs are great.

incredibly cynical and condescending, but it makes the horrendous subject matter more tolerable. He is really helpful - especially during lab. (if you bug him long enough he'll tell you the answers.)

Scared going into class since all semester you do group work but then have to take a final on your own which is more difficult then it seems. Available during office hours. Really has a passion for Stats. Surprisingly fun class. He definitely IS the textbook so don't bother buying one! Nice guy!

Going into this class, I was terrified, but Professor Carlin was the nicest professor and really helped students grasp the material. This is no easy math credit, but if you honestly work through the material on your own, you should get a good grade. This was a surprisingly fun class, labs were hard!

Very sarcastic, but very knowledgeable. I didn't think I'd like him or the class- but this turned out to be one of my best experiences at Tufts. I had him for 31 and 32. I Learned too much in both.
