You're better off relying on the textbook. He flies through lectures before you get a chance to process information. He's lenient on due dates for in-class work and gives easy grades, but his feedback is unhelpful. Instructions and due dates for lab assignments are vague. You'll have anxiety attacks over the uncertainty of how well you're doing.

A nice guy who wants to be helpful. I learned a lot, but I wish he would change his teaching method of mainly having students just fill in blanks. It would be better if class time was spent understanding the material. Still glad I took the course.

Michael is a very good teacher and knows his stuff. He doesn't like giving his students direct answers because he doesn't think that it will benefit them in the future. He has expectations of his students. Do the reading before you come to class and his lectures are quite useful. Don't read- you'll think he is talking nonsense. He is very fair and always available for extra help. Engineering takes a high level of accuracy and understanding. be diligent and he will give high marks.

He never states clearly what will be on test. i bet u will find him the most complicated teacher u ever had in your life. i think he loves to make test hard and gave hard markings. The first semster you have him, he seems like a real jerk. After that, he seems a lot more reasonable. One other has said he interruupts his students, but that's because he's not finished with what he's teaching and so the questions get answered later in the lecture.

I expected much more.I came from university, and I had no idea there could be such a difference in teaching skills.Gauthier spends more time telling students to close their laptops and stop distracting other students than explaining the slides. He just reads them. If I couldn't read by now, I would not have made it to college.Thanks..
