Comment:

Excellent teacher and interesting person. You will learn a lot from this guy if you pay attention in class and spend at least an hour on homework for each class. If you don't put in time doing the homework you will miss the fine points. Prof. John is my idea of a true college professor, dedicated and caring. He is always willing to help students.

He makes this class a breeze. He does about a dozen examples of every type of problem. It's Calc III and I didn't even have to study. The only reason I didn't get an A was because I missed a couple quizes. However he is very monotone and just writes on the board with his back turned to you the whole time.

First off an awesome guy. He trully does care that you learn the material. The only thing is that you have to be proactive in his class. If you sit there and dont say anything when you have a question than he wont help you. He has stayed after class with me a number of times to help me figure something out. He may be a little scatter brained.

I found the prof. to be a very good teacher, if you listen. Most of the students don't care about math and sit in the back. One thing that will help is if you do the homework, which I didn't always, but if I did I know I could have got a better grade. Most of the kids that did poorly were very bad at Algebra, I am pretty good at it made Cal. easy.

Dont take if you want to learn. I never go to his classes theyre pointless, if i do im on my laptop. hes a decent teacher and a great guy but hes often 15 minutes late. doesnt give homework and only 3 tests which u can use a sheet of paper on, no calculators and theyre all multiple choice. I have a B+ and only go to labs on friday

A warning to all of you that are about to take him. He is not a good teacher. He talks and talks and talks and he pays more attention to the board than us. Sometimes I wonder if he is trying to teach the board how to do math. I think he stopped doing magic tricks. I read here that he does magic tricks. Stay away from this guy!

the worst teacher probably at Wentworth. He can not teach for jack. He knows his math thats for sure and thats it. When he teached is back and forth, theres no steps or anything. Sometimes he confuses himself. Hes always late, and when i mean late hes about 10-20 mins and then when he comes in that late he does magic tricks. dont take him!

If you stuggle with learning on your own, don't take him. I found him hard to understand. But he will make time to help you if you ask him. His tests are multiple choice, but no calculator. Good guy though, does pretty cool magic tricks.

Some people find him hard to understand. He attendance policy is very lax. Sometimes he runs himself in circles and makes mistakes. Funny magix tricks. Overall a good class to take if you have decent math skills and want to slack off or not show.

This is by far the worst teacher I've ever had. He is all over the place when he is trying to teach. He thinks he's a magician, but all his tricks are dumb. If you have a good math background you will be fine. I never went to class and I still got an A.

OK, he's a really cool guy, I'll give him that, but it ends there. He's really not meant to teach. If you know your math, take him for an easy A. If you need things to be explained, you're asking the wrong guy. Oh, and being 10 minutes late to EVERY class takes away from professionalism as well.
