A wonderful professor. Incredibly knowledgable about his field and presents information in an engaging, thought-provoking manner. Very nice to students and is willing to help at all times. I found his exams a little tough, but the essay assignments are quite reasonable.

Prof. Kammen is a consummate professional and truly dedicated to his teaching. He is demanding, but rightfully expects his students to do their work well and on time. Was more interested by this course than any other I took at CU.

Really smart guy, he seems friendly in lecture (he dressed up for my class too), but he will lower your final grade a lot if he doesn't like you, regardless of exam and essay performance. So if you don't mind sucking up to him, he is a great prof.
