He's nice and smart, but he puts on an hour+ long video and physically leaves the room and comes back when the video is done. His lectures: quiet voice and can't read handwriting a lot of the time. If you're borderline, he takes attendance into consideration. To do well: read each chapter that you're going over in class that week and do learnsmarts

Awful. He'll walk in, put a video on and walk out. Genuinely the worst professor I've ever had. To pass the class you have to buy his textbook, which is horrendously over priced. You will be told at the start of the semester that he values practical teaching over theoretical. This being said the entire semester has been spent sat learning theory.

Teacher is really passionate and can tell he cares about the subject but voice is very monotone and doesn't use any sort of visual aid most of the time. Test questions seem subjective and it is hard to score a high grade with an average amount of studying. Grade is dependent mostly on tests and tedious online hw assignments. Cool guest speakers!

This is the first class that I have read the textbook front to back. He wrote the book that you use, so it is vital that you read the book before every test. Lectures are kind of a waste of time if you read, but he does do random attendance checks which can help your grade in the end. He is very smart and definitely is a great professor.

Professor Karatalija is a very nice human being, he is very passionate about marketing. Unfortunately his lectures are boring and he plays many videos that aren't that interesting. Test aren't based of his lectures, they are very tricky. What helped me get through this class was doing all the Learn Smarts.

How to get an A on tests: actively read & highlight each chptr, do LearnSmarts, do online practice quizes & reg quizes, review ebook highlights, review book ppts, review lecture notes, all before each test. And start 5 days earlier because it is a lot of material. My only beef with him is that he talks too softly, very hard to hear in large class.

Yes, this class involves a lot of reading, however the textbook is very interesting and well written. The lectures aren't the most entertaining and you can get by without them just fine, but he takes random attendance towards your grade. He is very nice and very knowledgeable. His class is tough but if you study and read its manageable.

He's an easygoing down to earth guy. He knows A LOT. YES, The text book he uses (which he wrote!) is really dense, & time consuming to read, BUT it's packed full of relevant & interesting cases that can be referred to by practitioners. I've seen some moaning on this page about the class, but my advice is if you wanna learn Chirp Up and he'll help.

most boring and worst class. He takes random attendance, so you must attend- even though he says don't worry about it. He lectures about his own experiences and random stuff, so they are not helpful for the test. You literally have to read the ENTIRE book. Unless your an IMC major, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

He is ridiculous. Long-winded lectures- just like his book. 22 chapters on the final. Takes sporadic attendance that screws you over. GIANT waste of time- 4 units to bring down your G.P.A. since you'd rather flunk out of college than study for his pinche class.

One of the most interesting classes! I also got an "A"! 4 multiple tests worth 90% of the grades, and 10% attendence. if you read the book and attend the class, you will find the tests are not difficult. The answers are all in the book. Interesting professor and subject. I enjoyed the class.

Awesome class. You can tell he is an expert in the subject matter. Wrote the textbook--book is used at Universities throughout the world, was voted number one MKTG text. Very willing to meet with students and help however he can. Definitely the best professor I've had at State!!

i didn't think it was possible for me to read all 779 pages. His book is actually not that bad. Anyways, Tough Tests but an interesting class. I highly recommend.
