I felt unchallenged by him. I also believe he tries to hard to make students like him rather than giving honest critiques of their work. He's still fairly young as professors go, so maybe with time and experience he will become a better instructor.

What can I say? Mike rocks! I love him like a brother. I really hope that IUP brings him back. He is different from other profs and he knows his stuff. He keeps in touch with his students also...I still talk to him every week..great teacher/great frie

I think he's one of the best professors I've had. I hope they bring him back, because I learned the most from him in painting. The other teachers have been there a while and Long's perspective is fresh and contemporary. He REALLY knows his stuff.

Michael talks to me all the time, and yet hmm how strange. He is not hitting on me, but treats me as a mentor and friend. there are two males in the class, and he talks to them just as much as anyone. Its your problem if you wont communicate with him!
